You won't get XP for healing yourself..

One of the better way is to have access to a high HAM pet... have a CM friend disease Health and Action.. then heal away.. work on med use first.. then when you can heal with C,D and E packs, you can make that XP up very very quick..

Also, buffing won't matter either because you cannot take more wounds than what your base attribute is..

If you have a good internet connection stay in Coronet and heal people as they fly into the shuttleport.

I had a great time doing this and I like to do random heals anyway.

Heck some people will even tip you, but remember you are healing for your Xp not for money so some people wont even know who healed if they have a crappy connection.

Like the above poster said, healing in Coronet as people wait for the starports is probably the easiset thing to do and one of the most effective. Other tricks are burning a pet, and diseasing it. Not sure if this still works but you could buff a pet, store it, call it again and buff it over and over for xp. Personally I found tumbling to be just as effective as anything else. Just set a macro and come back every 10-15 minutes and train.

duel then kill people, then rez them. You can set up someone marcoing this, and get it in less than an hour

I frequently go out with unbuffed hunting parties. I have powered my way through most of the medic and doctor trade that way. Added bonus being it is a million times more fun then healing a tumbler. That's just me though.

Oh the memories. That is how I mastered medic/doctor the first time. Good Times they were.

Tsimhnori, I'm not flaming you by saying this, but everywhere I look on these boards (I visit the boards in cycles.. weeks on, weeks off), folks just talk about quick-grind methods.

This is a bit OT, but has anyone recently mastered a profession by just doing the things that profession demands? Now, to be honest, I haven't recently completely mastered a profession sans any grinding whatsoever. My first several professions near launch were all done the "old fashioned" way, but even now I try to keep grinding to a relative minimum and let the XP come as it comes. I DO capitulate to the grinding temptation, however, so I can't say I'm a complete purist.

I also realize that the reality of MMOs is that grinding occurs, and it occurs ramptantly (heck, I even "grind" offline RPGs).

I'm rambling, and I'm OT, so I apologize for that. I just lament the fact that the prevalant attitude is "Master X in Y days!" (or hours).

ah well.

(and to answer your question, I'd add: get a tumbler with buffed primaries, unbuffed secondaries, and a commando to flame him.. the combo heal damage/wounds moves things along quickly. Yeah, I contradict myself in this reply.. I've had a long day.. haa.. thanks for indulging me) :^)
