i wasa master doctor on Sunrunner, ppl charged 8 - 10k for buffs and you made 300k off of 30 ppl, i forget how much they were to buy.... but I do know that since ive moved to flurry ive noticed buff prices from 12 - 20k and flurry is very similar to sunrunner so I would say your making like 600k in 30 people, now you can get that very quick if you set up business in a place where there is high demand...

In order to sell poublic buffs, you must have money to buy buff packs(Very expensive). And given what you posted, it sounds like you do not have that much money to spend, so what I suggest you do is build up a decent sum by selling loot, running missions, etc. Then by like a full set of 10 buffs, and sit outside of coronet charging like 10-20k per buff (depending on stats). This way you will make a lot of money in one day, and your profit should be more then what you spent.

If you already have a decent amount of cash, then skip over the getting money to buy buffs part.

hi and wellcome to the most unbroken of them all

yes , you CAN make nice cash with a litle preparation and time.

yes, running missoins can get you a higher ratio of cash/time but buffing can be well worth it. and you get all the nice "TY doc!" "Oh wow awesome buffs" etc.

if you dont have the cash to invest in an initial set, borrow from guildies. if they wont lend to you, find another guild

i will comment though, before you set out to buff in the starports, BE PREPARED.

have your bivoli crate, and battery crate ready. drag all your packs to the hot bar and get your macro's ready. make sure your mind is high enough. i down a couple of brandies before i start. and thats with my maxed mon-cal mind. (i have my armor on 24/7 from lack of space for those smart-a$$es wonderingwhy i need two brandies) (see faq's and other posts here for details)

have a crate of havla for when the line becomes too long. but then be carefull to leave room for more bivoli.

MOST IMPORTANT, be prepared for an hour-hour and a half of concentration. it is harder than it seems, at least till you are experianced enough to do it in your sleep...

you will be getting /tells all the time, you need to make sure you dont untarget the buffee (how many times have i ruined a set by "you enhance your stamina by 2500") you need to be on the ball. i not sure what system your server uses in terms of lines, but in any case, be prepared

gl and hf.

oh and just take things in stride, not every player who does not say deferencialy : "say can i pleeeez get a buff" intends to be rude...

What he said. I've been doc for many months now, and I just started feeling very comfortable buffing the public. It takes practice. They need to add a box to the skill tree though when you're buffing. Stress Relief IV, because it's a hell of a time. The first time you buff is pretty scary, yet it's very rewarding to see all those people line up for you. Have your macros, brandy, clothes, droid, and bivoli ready to go, and pay attention to when your bivoli runs out. I add a timer when I take it /alarmaddin 0 15 Bivoli Warning. Buff sets on the eclipse server run for about 1.5 Million for crates of 10 on all six crates. That breaks down to about 750k if you're buffing in 5 packs. You will make many more credits back thought nevertheless. I can make 4.5 Million off of 10 packs, and if I pay 1.5 million for them I make 3 Million so it is worth it. Just takes a little while to use them all up. You'll go through about 1 whole set every hour/hour and a half. Have fun with it, talk to your customers, and most important of all be nice, no one likes a crabby doc lol.

Here is how I started. On Eclipse, each buff pack is about 18k, there are 6 buff packs per set... so you are looking at an initial investment of 108000cr for the packs. You need a droid with 110 med rating and an article of clothing with +25 med use. Finally you need a couple of droid batteries. Other than the packs you are looking at about 50-60k for a grand total of a bit less than 200k. If you have it great, got get it, if not borrow it or make it on missions.

After you go through your first set of buffs you should bring in about 300k at 10k per buff (I wouldn't go higher until you get Bivoli). Buy another set for 108k and buff. Now you should have about 492k. Repeat 1 more time. Now you should have enough to buy a 5 pack set. This will bring in about 1.5 mil (but don't get too excited it take a while to go through 8 sets to get to this point). From here, just don't go below the cost of 5 pack sets without buying new ones.

You could buy a crate of Bivoli to increae the power of you buffs and increase what you charge. The only other reaccuring cost is the droid batteries, which are pretty cheap and if you are an artisan, they are pretty easy to make.

Good luck!
