Thread: A droid question. . .

As a medic ultimately aiming for doctor, would it be worth it to get a surgical droid now to heal wounds outside the clinics, or is there a lesser medical type I could use until getting Novice Doctor?

I'd say pick up a 110 droid now.
You'll need it sooner or later and the 10% bonus couldn't hurt with the grind, saving you a few stims/woundpacks.

I don't know if this might help you or not, but ...
A medic who was on his way to becoming a master doc, teamed up with a master doc buffing on Dathomir. The medic healed wounds as the doctor buffed. Made for a great team. The master doc's macro indicated that the customer pay an additional 3-5k if they wanted to have his/her wounds healed. The medic anddoctorwere grouped together. Group talk wasn't used for any conversation between them, it was only for the doctor to indicate "Yes, heal" or "No, don't".The credits were then credited to the medic at the end of his "shift".
OR
If the medic chooses he/she can just heal the wounds for free .. which is what most usually do anyway when they're trying to get experience in the med centers other than paying a tumbler. *sigh*

Get a 110% droid now, and go to the starport and heal people as they log into the port. Kind of Ninja heal them as they log in, you get a steady stream of people with all kinds of wounds now with the wounds from dieing in space.
