Thread: Old Buff Crates After CU

I've got a ton of buff packs stored away.


I need to know if I should burn through them all before the combat upgrade, or will they still be useful after the combat upgrade?


I've invested about 15 MILLIONcredits in all 18 crates!

Good question, I know sometimes when items have been nerfed crated items survived (like ubese shirts/bando's).

I guess its basically a gamble. Could be that after the CU the buffs you have will be lowered in power making them less valuable, or you might be holding the ever-coveted "pre-nerf" buffs when all is said and done...hmm very tough call

Sorry, wish I could be more helpful but only a few people know for sure how buffs will be affected (and they cant tell you without having to kill you) and maybe nobody knows if the same loophole will apply to crated buffs like it did for ubese stuff.

I plan on hording and hoping for the best. Because regardless of what happens, you are going to need buffpacks made. This way, you will already have them if they get nerfed. If not? Hold onto them for 2-3 months, then throw them on a vendor for 3-4 mil per set, or 18 mil per whole set. Instant millionaires. And since the Solo nerf, that will hold you for quite some time.

Just watch for the posts in the test center galaxie forum. I have crates of both 941 base and 875 base packs in "cold storage" to see exactly how they are converted with the Combat balance/upgrade. I also have a few sets of uncrated Janta packs as well to see how they are effected. Most of the crafters have crates of items ready to fully test how they are converted.

Well we pretty much know that buffs are getting nerfed so I'd think it's extrememly unlikely that crated buffs will stay the same. As long as they stay useful after the CB there's really no reason to worry...

yeah, i would like to know what to do..

pack em, or leave em as resources..


tough call i suppose - either way, (as was mentioned) they will be required after CU..

I suspect they will be know as Pre-Nerf Buffs. I dont see them nerfing all the buffs already made, might be a case (boom boom) of them staying as they are, and everything from that point onwards will be the new way.. which ever way that may be.

I wouldn't worry overly much about them. They'll still be needed post-CU so leaving them in crated/crafted form should be fine...

Im just gonna keep mine in the crates Ive had stored away for a while now for personal use. The way I see it, no matter how they change the buffing system, the higher power packs are still gonna be the higher power packs even ifthe way they are caculated might change, etc.

But as long as they don't make buffs totally useless I'm alright with whatever changes they mightbring.
