some one told me once that to tell a overt, they will have a flag in there nar when you id them. well i cant twll who an overt is yet or im just looking in th wrong place for the info.

If it's a flag, is that a temp tef?

if overt it is a _____?

If you are neutral, all players will have blue names. Overt rebel/imps will have their symbol (reb or imp)spinning next to their character. There is no indication in the target box.

If you are factioned (reb/imp), overt members of your faction will have the same symbol, but will be purple (both covert and overt same faction are purple). However, you will see their symbol no matter what at a range of 30-60 meters or so, overt or covert. If you approach them, and they are overt, the sysbol will persist. If they are covert, it will fade as you get closer to them.

When you are TEF'd, you get a flag symbol on your HAM bar box. Its just an icon that shows you are flagged, same as mounted, dizzy, poisoned..ect. Basically a status. You cannot look at yourself and tell if you are overt or not (should you forget when you log in, it happens and people get pissed when you kill them and they forget...lol). You must hit the character screen (control-C) and read your faction status (declared or covert).
