Thread: Why can't I get any amazing successes?

Hey,
Last night while crafting buff schematics (I'm an 11 pt. Doc), I wasn't getting ANY amazing successes! Being a little obsessive (I'll admit it), I was crafting over and over again because I wanted to try to get higher power buffs.
The resources and components I am using are as follows:
ABEC: Power 14 / Charges 24
ACRDM: Power 64
ASDS: Power 73
Avian Meat (Prose): DR 797 / PE 704/ OQ 999
Reactive Gas (Laesree): DR 976 / OQ 875
After maxing out effectiveness and using my last point on ease of use my buff stats were:
Power 845 / Duration 12987 / Med Use 90 / Charges 33
I was more than content with the duration, charges and med use...just was hoping for higher power. Was I doing anything wrong? Could I do anything better or differently? Any alternate resources I could use?
I was in Commonwealth City, which is a Research Center. The one thing I didn't do was drink Bespin Port...in my experience, I didn't do any better with it. But, when I say my "experience" that is a fairly limited number...so please tell me if I'm wrong, LOL.

Your hitting the max power you can get on your buffs. If you got amazing successes or not, it wouldn't matter. The only way your going to get higher power is by having better gas. For every 40 points higher in oq on your gas, you add about 10 points to the power of your buffs. So get yourself some better gas to make better buffs =]

Get a meat with more PE and your power will be increased by a lot !!!
A amazing succes wont make you get more power , mabye an extra charge or one less point of Med Use thats it ...
Your components and meat effect the power , not the amazing succes ..

Hey Fizzie, I think I read that Eclipse had 3 recent godly uber spawns of avian meat that were 970+ oq and pe. Just remember, that some servers aren't that fortunate 
Gorath has only had 2 900+ oq and pe spawns of avian meat ever and the most recent one was 4 months ago or so. We both know avian meat is hard to come by. Thats why when I said get better gas, I knew he'd have a much easier time finding it then avian. 900 oq, 600+ pe is the norm on gorath, seeing 900+ power buffs is kinda rare. Anyways, hope that all made sense and it wasn't a flame =]

According to swgcraft, there are several better avian meats for increasing power of your packs (DR listed after):

Pioveqep 239
Ohake 799
Ircho 79
Ewisto 780
Oeglafe 583
Atwipi 632
Oyka 511
Otet 939
Mika 728
Aegya 885
Xearoco 312
Magrih 372
Osnydiettok 763
Thereis a currentreactive gases (Aoclim OQ922 DR354) that beats the OQ of you Laesree. I think you would lose something in the duration, but there are choices to be made...

I was able to hit 922 power with 895 OQ / 979 PE avain & 999 OQ reactive. After experimenting with different avain and reactives I was surprised how important both are compared to the other resources. I would say your main problem is prolly the reactive.
Also on experimenting your resources will cap how much power you can experiment with. So even if you get an amazing success you'll still cap at the same power. The only difference is that you'll prolly save a point on experimenting on power to use on charges or med use.

that doesn't seem right to me.....
its probably not the gas, its the PE on the avian, the gas will help however if u get that PE above 800 you should be way better off. mine are really close to yours and i hit 898 but my OQ on avian is lower, PE higher, and on the gas the OQ is higher than yours, but again not by much.
