How here has a Non-buff med vendor. Selling stims and state meds stuff like that. And how well do you do at this.

I mainly sell enhance packs in Bloodfin. But I also have an Other Meds vendor in my store (I sell just about all the other meds there ... rez packs, state packs, cure packs, resist packs, woundpacks, all types of Stims, etc). And using that Merchant's Friend program from the Merchant forums (which allows you to keep track of your total sales, daily sales and of how much you're actually selling in each of your vendors) I can see there that only 10% of my sales comes from that Other Meds vendor.

I'd say it's fun to craft all types of meds, and it's really nice to be able to provide your customers with just about all that they might need from Novice Medic to Master Doc. But if you're in to crafting to try to make a better profit, then selling enhance packs is mandatory.

Plus you gotta keep in mind that I really think that at least 50% or more of the people who actually end up buying those other meds in my store does it for the convenience of having the vendors there. They go there primarily to buy sets of enhance packs and since the med vendors is already there, they decide to buy one or two things that they might be needing as a Doc. So you should consider that as well if you plan on opening a non-buff vendor.

Of course, setting up such vendor will be ALOT cheaper than an enhance pack one, so that is always the best option if you still don't have the capital to invest in all the resources you will need to make high quality packs. Invest in a non-buff vendor now, work on advertising ita lot, and in 1-2 months max, you will already have the money to start venturing yourself in the buff making process.

Just my .02 anyways.

I stock arguably the busiest/biggest mall on the server "Theed Mall", on Euro-Chim.

I generally manage to keep my stock levels above 500 items and i stock almost everything there is. Click the link in my sig for info on my meds products

Of course, i make barely anything from this (in serious money terms) and it's a hassle at times, to keep going.
But someone has got to provide this service, it's for a good cause.

I remember when i was a non-crafting Doctor and i used to go around looking for Stims etc, before hunts. It was, at times a mission to find what i wanted and really only one place was ever stocked...."Dr Soo's"....the legend on our server

So, i'm providing a service and its always nice to see a well stocked vendor

10%of your sales, or 10% of sale income? As individualbuffpacks typically go for 10-12x the price of stims, this is an important difference.

I've just opened a non-buff med vendor. Sales of stim-B's and woundpack-B's (health and action, thank you JTL!)are so brisk on the bazaar I can't restock 'em fast enough - people love 400+ power high-usagestim-B's and will pay a premium for them. Hot Sands is not far from Eisley, so I'm hoping for a lot of traffic from the starport, and as a way for people toget crates.

Sale income. Yep, we all know enhance packs are a lot more expensive than an advanced Stim B for instance. But what I meant to point out in my post was that if you're into crafting to make money, crafting enhance packs is essential. Why? Well, you said it yourself, because it will sell for 10-12x more (And sometimes a lot more than that). And yes,I agree with you that people will pay premium for 400+ Stim Bs, but if you give them 900+ power, 3 hours + enhance packs, not only they will be willing to pay premiumbut they would give youtheir firstborn children for it.

Meds seemed to do alright, buffpacks aren't selling in big quantity but the stim B's and wound packs do quite well, I would guess jtl is having something to do with that.

Here's hoping the combat revamp brings back the mass call for stims again.

Hey

I'm running 4 vendors:

- Buffs & Resists (does pretty well)

- States & Cures (low sales but pvpers need poison and state stuff)

- Stims & Wounds (jtl gives wounds.... increased sales)

- Ressources (does ok after buffvendor)

Biggest chunk comes from Buffvendor, but as stated above I also like to be a wholesale doc, but its hard to keep all stocked, if you wanna play game too... hehe

I have 9 vendors at my place, 8 med and 1 resource, the resource vendor is for me to sell resources that i don't want anymore.

1 hi-power buffs in crates vendor

1 Standard buff vendor (those under 900 base) in crates

1Standard buff vendor (those under 900 base) in singles

1 Enhance Poison/Disease Resists in crates and singles vendor

1 Wounds and Cures in crates vendor (mainly wound B's and cure C's and Stat packs)

1 Wounds and Cures singles vendor (mainly wound B's and cure C's and stat packs)

1 Stim pack vendor B's,C's, D's, E's in crates vendor

1 Wound E vendor (Wound E's, flame blanket, res kits)

I believe that Location is the prime factor in your sales, then 2nd would be LOCATION, hehe. Also reliability in products is a major factor, nobody wants to spend 20mins travel to get to an empty vendor thats globally advertised, at least i hate that.

I've also found that the name of your vendors can strategecally affect your sales as well, Example; Imagine each vendor title has first letter thats different, your vendors will be here and there on the global med vendor list. BUT, if u say title all ur vendors with Acme buff/ACMEStims .... then ur vendors will all be listed together and be at the top of the vendor list as well. I name all mine 'Viper's XXX" so that they are grouped and for name recognition, which if ur in it for the long haul, u need to have a 'catchy' name for peeps to remember.

In conclusion, Meds is a 'consumable' business. reliablity of product availability is utmost important! People have to know that you'll have what they came to buy.

I can't keep my vendor stocked usually for a whole week. Crates of 500 (yes 500) Stim B's and Crates of Med use 40 E's or D's fly off my vendor. I do not make a whole lot in general off of the business but it usually pays for the house and the maintenence and resources etc....
