Thread: is it possible to make full 1k factory runs of anything requiring mulitple identical components?

um this just occured to me, and seems completely stupid, but its immpossible to make a factory run of 1000 items for anything requiring more than 1 of the same component as even if i run 2 1k schematics for the component they will ahve different serials...
or am i wrong?

You're not wrong, sadly. If you need say, two ABECs, or three, you can't make a run of 1000 of that item.

damn, thought itd be like that but hoped id be wrong, thats just a bit stupid frankly :/

I belive it's to prevent mass production and monopoly/oligopoly ecconomies where the rich docs bang out thousands of cheap comonents not allowing newer docs to break into the market, though i do agree it is still a pain and the cause of some frustration.

Along time ago you could only make a Max factory run of 100 idential items instead of 1000. I forget which publish changed it to 1000 (would've been 3or 4 maybe).
But awhile later on the forums one of the DEVs was saying being able to make 1000 identical items was a bug and they were trying to resolve it back to 100 to prevent the rich doctor monopoly thing.
Thank god they never reverted us back to 100 items. That totally sucked trying to make things back then

If I remember right that was a bug, you could make a schematic for a thousand but you had to actually type 1000 where it said 100, at least that's what I heard. I remember those days though, it wasn't such a big deal for me back then 'cause I never had enough resource to make the bigger run of meds.

Ya, that was so far back, people didn't even think about doing runs that large. We barely even buffed then.
