Thread: Doc Economy since patch-How's it going?
RL has kept me out of the game for a while, and will for a while more. I'm reading much about the patch, and some discussions around charging x for y etc. Just wondered, what a few of you were seeing as evidenced in the game or is it still to early to tell?
Things like,
Are Enhances more in demand? Or Stim B's selling faster now?
Are Doctors setting up in Medical Center's of player cities say near the Kraytt Graveyard, or adventure planets?
Are Docs getting more tells post patch as dying has a consequence now? (decay)
Have Tips been affected positivley or are we still looked upon as a purley free clinic support role? (Sorry a bit sarcastic on that one.)
How bad is this droid crafting issue where some report problems crafting higher level meds? Is it raising prices on some of the adventure planets that have no crafting stations and homes? (Endor)
Were there changes in the patch that will increase cost of resources like, harvestors, maintenece, or buying meats?
SorryI meant this to be a short list, but as it will be another few days before I get back, I wondered whateveryone wasseeing in game about how wesupport ourselves and play.
Iknow each server will be different but just wondered if there were trends.

Yesterday I made about 200k off buffs alone (some nut guy was in a hurry and paid me 50k). Stim Bs always sell and have noticed no change since patch. Also, I haven't had many critical failures when crafting factory schematics.

Also seemt to have noticed a lot more critical failures in the little crafting I've done. Took 5 attempts if not more to get a ABEC with decent quality. I had critical failures and less success in experimentation. I'm a master doctor.
I started charging for my services for everyone excpet friends and guildmates before the patch. However, now I get constant /tells asking for buffs, so those are going up in price. I haven't been asked to rez anyone yet, but I need to come up with a price for that. My prices are high to discourage constant /tells. Here is my new price list. I will drop the healing and cure charges if they ever come out with missions for medics.
- 1000 - Wound and Damage Healing
- 2000 - Wound and Damage Healing, Plus Cure Disease or Poison
- 10000 - Full set of Buffs on starter planet (No more individual stats)
- 15000 - Full set of Buffs on advanced planet (Still no individual stats)
- 1000 - Rez
When someone complains about any of the prices the price automatically doubles. I didn't work my way up to Master Doctor to watch combat professions that I keep alive enjoy all the loot. Plus if you don't have the money on you (don't trust bank tips) then no healing for you. If I have to heal you for free, then you own me protection when I travel to my house and harvesters.

I usually hit 2000+ on 5 out of 6. Plus keep in mind that my prices are high to discourage being treated like a machine that is good for nothing but buffs. I have a few regular customers that insist on paying me 10K for the buffs, so why should I expect less from anyone else?
