Thread: New Heal State Help

I thought I read that HealState had changed so that you ne longer had to specify which med to use. Is this right or do you still need to spell it out.

I tried a HealState (/healState)macro button on my bar, but it says I have no state to heal (i was dizzy at the time). Do I need the meds in a certain location? Or do I need to set it up differently? I used to have all the state stims spinning around on the bar, but that takes up a bunch of space, and accuracy is always a prob.

I'd like to be able to just hit a button, and know it will fix my state. Thoughts?

I have a single macro to cure everything

HEALANY

/curepoison

/firstaid

/healstate dizzy

/healstate stunned

/curedisease

/healstate intimidated

/healstate blind

/reviveplayer

I keep one of each type of state cure, one cure disease, one cure poison, and one rez pack in main inventory. Clicking this hotkey spams me with messages for anything that is not present and heals the rest one at a time.

Nice Macro

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen." - JULIO TORRES

I haven';t tried this, but according to our Dev just using /healstate should work. The conditions would be, though, that you would have to have the cure pack sitting in top-level inventory and not in a pack or pouch or anything. Otherwise I haven't tested this.

nice macro indeed. Does anyone know if this slows down combat response, while its spamming errors?

Also, I believe that my stims were in a bag, I'll try it with them out. Thanks All!

Stim or state pack? And it was in Top Level incentory, right? That really sucks if that's not working.

Hmm. I was able to use /healstate by itself with no arguments yesterday. I targetted a person with a state effect, (I used CTRL-1 targettingif it was me rather than /healstate self)had one of each kind of state pack in my top inventory, and it fixed whatever state was bothering them. I was able to do it by typing /healstate or by using the new macro I made with just /healstate in it on my toolbar. I know I cured at least dizzy, blind, and stun.

Even with lag, I have never noticed any real delay. All the commands except rez seem to be on the same timer. As far as the order goes, I felt that was the priority of curing ailments.

I have used just /healstate on myself and removed dizzy by doing so. I.e seems to work well enough for me.

By the way, is there nothing to cure blidness (eyedrops anyone? :-).

Wait, I just saw /healstate blind. Guess _I_ am blind for missing the blinded state packs. :-) Doh! :-)
