Thread: Zarlor a suggestion about how your listing doctor issue/fixes
Well, I try to do 2 things to show any changes taht have been made to the lists.
First there is a code at the end of each heaing in both the summary listing and on the detail listings. It's a *, +. = and so on, I also do color coding to those things, as follows:
* - Denotes Issue has had some change or addition made to it since last posting.
+ - Denotes New Issue since the last posting. (These will always be at the bottom of the listing.)
= - Denotes Issue is listed by Devs as being fixed in either this publish or the next (generally, 4-8 weeks.)
% - Denotes some part of Issue will be fixed in either this publish or the next (generally. 4-8 weeks.)
& - Denotes an Issue acknowledged by the Developers that should be fixed at some undisclosed time in the future.
That key should be on the first post of all of those threads.
Then in the detail section the first thing under every heading if there are any changes will be a little statement in parentesis, like:
(To be Fixed, changed wording, added something)
and so on.
Then in the text itself I might (if ther is more than one paragraph) put some kind of denoter that something is different in that particular paragraph such as,(*In Test*).
Now if you don't have any colors on your browser the final thing I do is something you jsut won't see. I try to denote the portion of text that may have changed, such as if I had added this part to the sentence.
So there you have it. All the ways in which you can see if anything about an issue changed. If it's all plain white text like this is, then there shouldn't be anything new to see there that you haven't read before. The problem with a "lite" list is that I really need to get feedback on the complete listings, and I definitely need to have complete listings to work with when we do the votes (hopefully I can see about starting up one of those tomorrow.)
As for the problems in the profession, I hate to say it but there is not a darned thing I can do about it. If you could read the Corre forum you'd know what I mean. I've been bumping the current hot topic on the issue of items called from crates since the patch came out on Thursday. I've gotten no responses at all. None. Not even from TH. I feel like like I just called Tech Support and got put on hold for 3 days.
That's just the reality of the situation. I don't care who you put into the position I just can't see it making any difference (unless maybe our Dev is just mad at me, or something, and is refusing to talk to me. In which case I wish they would just say so so we could get someone else he WOULD talk to in there.)
I will say that the lists you see are all in order base don Doctor voting. As such our Top Issues are at the tops of those lists (and that HAM Bar problem is a #1 bug on that list.) We've been assured tht those top issues would be the kinds of things they would look at addressing first, but TH is still getting his feet wet and getting the ball rolling for coordinating all of this stuff. So everything really is still up in the air. That's really just where it all stands.
Zarlor,
Hello. 1st and formost, you have to be one of the most active corrospents I have seen. You'll hear me yell here and there on some of these boards, but is jsut my fustration at SoE.
But for the reason im writing this. I try and read though your posts and updates all the time, but to me they look like the same thing. Maybe its just that same thing but you have little changes in there... but its hard for me (and maybe others) then to find those changes. Maybe you can have a complete listing of all the info on doctor fixes/wishlist/bugs and have a lite version to see whats changing.. like only put new updates in them.
One other thing, since hopefully i have your ear atm. I also feel like there hasen't been enough attention brought to the bugs that doctors are experiencing. Maybe i just see it a little different, but I would prefer some of the bugs fixed over class changes and new abilities. Hopefully some will aggree.
Could you stress how important some of these bugs are. I look forward to the day I can trust my HAM bars. Right now when i battle, I might throw a heal stim or poison on someone, then I spam heal myself... I might cure someone... then i spam heal myself. I'm thankful my sister plays SWG on the computer next to me telling me when my HAMs are getting low.
Thanks for your time, and I appreciate your work.
