Thread: Guide to powerleveling through Medic and Doctor

I'm not sure if anyone has done a write-up on how to powerlevel through medic and doctor yet, but I figure I'll do this one anyway based on the number of people who have asked how I've done it.

This guide assumes that you have a friend who is willing to spend many hours AFK letting you do various things to his/her body. You will also need a large number of supplies to finish this as quickly as possible. The following things are needed:

Several crates of Stim B-D (Just about any will work, as long as the heal value is high enough, and the med use is low enough for you to use.)

One crate of Revive packs

20k any Inorganic (To account for the failure rate)

20k any Organic (Failure rate again)

6 Food and Chemical Crafting Tools

Once you have trained novice medic, find a nice secluded place so you don't bother other players. Have your friend equip as much armor, or take as many wounds to his SECONDARY(Con, Stam, Quick, Str) stats as possible, in order to get them close to 0. The reason you want to do this is because the macro requires this friend to Tumble to Standing continuously, casuing him to lose action and some health. DO NOT REDUCE HIS MIND (Will, Foc) SECONDARIES. This causes the most amount of damage from the tumbling, and allows you to heal more damage, thus gaining more experience. Your friend will then use the following macro, (ALL MACROS ARE CASE SENSITIVE!!!!!)

/tumbletostanding

/ui action toolbarSlotXX (Place this macro in one of your toolbar slots, where XX is the slot you've placed it in, minus 1. So slot 5 would be /ui action toolbarSlot04)

This will cause the friend to continually tumble. Now, there are two ways to do the next section, one fast, one cheap. If you are cheap, use your organics and inorganics to craft a LOT of Stim A's. If you want to be fast, use Stimpack B's at first, working your way up to C or D. Target your friend, and run this macro:

/healdamage

/pause X (If using Stim A, set the pause to be just low enough to heal as fast as possible. If you're using high level stims, set it to be th amount of time it takes for your friend to completely drain his action pools. The number is in seconds, so if you can heal every 6 seconds, set the pause to 6. If it takes 15 seconds for your friend to drain their action pool, set it to 15. You will need to play around with this number a bit to get it right, as lag can have a dramatic effect on it.)

/ui action toolbarSlotXX (Same as the above command, place this macro in a toolbarslot, and then put the corresponding slot number minus 1 here.)

You can now step away from the keyboard, sit and watch, take a shower, get drunk with your friends, or do whatever you please. At the low levels in medic, you won't have enough time to really do anything however, as you will hit the experience cap fairly quickly. I reccomend advancing up the First Aid tree if you are using Stim A, or the pharmocology tree if you are planning on using higher level stims. Complete 1-4 in your chosen tree first to raise your exp cap, and then just let the macro run till you hit the xp cap of 30k, and train some more. Keep running these until you finish all 3 trees which require medical exp.

It's now time to start on the crafting tree, which isn't so bad in medic, but horrible in doctor. You're doing both the same way, so get ready to kill your wrists with mouseclicking. You're going to be crafting a whole lot of Biological Effect Controllers (BECs) in practice mode for this. You will need a little more setup for this part of medic. Expand your toolbar at the top so it has 2 rows. Place a crafting tool in the last slot on the bottom row. Place this macro immediatly to the left of your crafting tool. Now repeat this process for all 6 panes of the toolbar, putting a different tool in the last slot of each pane. This macro is what I've used to craft:

/ui action toolbarPaneNext;

/ui action toolbarSlot23;

/selectDraftSchematic XX; (Find this number by opening your datapad, make sure your schematics are in Icon View, and begin counting left to right on the schematics. Start with 0, and then go up. If the only crafting skill you have is novice medic, then this number SHOULD be 00. For example, if BEC is the third from the left, it will be 02.

/pause 5;

/nextCraftingStage;

/nextCraftingStage;

/createPrototype practice no item;

/createPrototype practice no item;

/createPrototype practice no item;

/pause 2;

/ui action toolbarSlot22

If you've set this up correctly, it will switch the next toolbar, boot up a crafting tool, select the BEC schematic, give you 5 seconds to load the resource, then finish the item on practice mode, pause for 2 seconds, and repeat itself. Grind like you've never had to grind before, and you'll finish organic chemistry in no time.

DOCTOR

Powerleveling Doctor is not much different from powerleveling medic. Have your trusted old friend who's been subjected to many pokes of the needle start up the old tumbling macro again. You can use Stim A to heal him still, but I do notsuggest it. It's time for you to switch to the higher level stims, if you haven't already. Continue to heal your tumbling friend until you've trained up to Master Wound Treatment. This will give you the Revive ability, which greatly increases your powerleveling ability. Unfortunately, your friend is about to take one for the team, and get shot, kicked, punched, chopped, hacked, and otherwise injured so that you can practice your medical abilities on him/her. Change the tumbling macro you've been using by replacing this line:

/tumbletostanding

With this line:

/duel

Form a group with your friend (REQUIRED!), and have him/her target you. Said friend may now run the macro, and step blissfully away from the keyboard. You however, must use a different macro in order to continually smack your friend about the head, sending them down for count. Make sure you target them before running the macro. A combat skill is not required, but makes the process faster.

/duel

/pause 15 (Adjust the pause to give you time to heal your mind, running out of mind could be bad for your friend)

/attack (You may put your favorite special in here such as /fanShot to kill them quicker. I used about 8 Fan Shots)

/pause 5 (Adjust this pause time based on how long it takes you to incapacitate your friend.)

/death

/pause 4

/revivePlayer

/pause 3

/follow

/ui action toolbarSlotXX (Where XX is the slot you put this macro in, minus 1, the same as the other ones)

The follow command is in there because when a person is incapped, and stands up, they move in the process. It would be very bad to come back and find yourself out of revive range with one very dead friend, and not much experience. Use the revive method until you finish the other 2 trees in doctor, and then use the crafting macro once again to finish the crafting tree of doctor. Congratulations, you have finished powerleveling through Medic and Doctor, and are now officially one of the very lazy elite looking for the easy way to finish everything. I hope this guide has helped anyone who has read it.

Nice guide, it's a shame there isn't an easy way through crafting, I have already finished CM and am now doing doc, the crafting seems much harder.

The burn thing is easier. It also works with CM diseases. Anything that will cause your pet 8k wounds is great thing for med xp. You just need some decent health and action wound b's (anything better than 150 heal should be good.)

You make the macro like /healwound health; /pause (the wait until it says you can heal wounds again, it varies so time it for you. Add an extra 2 or 3 seconds). Then just have that repeat 25-30 times (how ever many uses is in your woundkit). You can go afk while you are sitting there racking up xp or you can grind crafting and kill two birds with one stone. Thats how I got my doctor xp the second time around. Took 2 days with a graul (I got him diseased by mantigrue screechers on endor).

i got a brawler to do a warcry loop ona lair for very fast exp.

go up to a lair. kill animals outside of it. have brawler do warcry1 on lair over and over(out of combat distance - no ranged weaps). heal brawler as fast as you can.... i couldn't keep up with warcry most of the time.

i powered thru stims by making wound a packs in practice mode (for medic). haven't done doctor yet.

None, if you ask me, ABECs are a waste of money, normal BEC's will do it

This is about medium as grinding goes, especially if you ahve a captive friend.

I hate the very concept, so I won't link to the better ones... But feel free to look through medic /doc and CM boards until you find them. They are posted.
