Sorry hit the enter button before I started the message.I just wanted to hear from anyone who mastered Dr and Combat Medic and how well it worked out for them.My main concern is not having much left over for a good weapon skill but I don't really earn my income from missions anyways.Thanks for any advice you may be able to provide.

It is a wonderfull profession, I wouldn't worry so much about a weapon in pvp, you wont have time to rez,drag,poison(haha),disease, HEAL HEAL HEAL....-----------> and then find time to shoot someone.

I don't do much pve, I have 5 accounts and I was never able to harvest with my doc/cm(so made a hunter), as i didn't have any weapons skills. I do know some doc/cm with a lil pistol skills and they work well hunting solo pve.

A doc/cm is very very resource intensive. If you don't have friends to help with the resources, or several million credits in the bank to purchase them when they are available - its hard to play. If you have more than one account, it's a great profession!

I have mastered both and really enjoy it. I don't even bother hunting holocrons because honestly I don't which I would give up to try and master something else. As the previous poster stated it is very resource intensive. Also it relies on group activities more than soloing. That being said, I belong to a great guild and love being the be all, end all in support. I buff enough of my guildies that when they ask how much I just tell them to bring in avian, herbivore, & insect meats. I hire some of of artisans to find resources to send a waypoint for me to put heavy harvesters down to collect what else I need.

I never have to look for a group when I can rez, cure poison, disease, states, buff, heal at range, and mind heal if needed. Add on top of that being able to DoT to bring down mobs, well I have plenty to do without even breaking out the carbine sometimes.

Thanks for all the information.It sounds like it would probably be a fun combo.I have a little tiem to think about it while trying to gain the combat exp.At least it isn't as bad as when I tried bounty hunter.The resource requirements is the only thing I am worried about with the combo.I do have a good business partnership with someone who supplies most of the resources.I'll probably give it a try and see how it goes.Thanks again.
