Thread: BUFF DIFFERENCES??????
i am 0420 at themoment and can only free up 3 skill points which leaves me with less weapon skill
.
i can use enhance b's and the results range from 300-750 for roughly 1 hour. if i free up the points so i can use c's is it worth it? is the difference great enough that it would be worth while. i spent 100k on b's and need more exp before i am ready to increase med use. but i am curious. right now i buff ppl free cause the increase isnt like a master doc
but i think for free they are good. are c's worth charging for? maybe like half what a master charges. any response is appreciated.

Personally, I think it would be worth charging for the buffs you have now. Certainly, they're not worth as much as a master doctor's, but they're too valuable to be handing out for free, in my opinion. Here's a possible solution - charge 1 credit for every 2 points that you buff someone. Therefore, if you buff someone for 500, they owe you 250 credits. If you get a good buff and hit them for 1000, they owe you 500 credits. If you average 500 points per buff, a set of 6 would be about 1500 credits. That's not nearly what most master doctors charge, but it gets you something and I think the price is fair.
If you bounce up to 0/4/3/0, you can actually start using enhance D's, although you'll have to get a master doctor to experiment the ease of use down a touch so that you can use them. At that point, you should easily be hitting enhancements for over 1000 points regularly.
Again, if you're not sure about a flat rate, the sliding scale I laid out seems to work out quite well.
The only problem with charging for lower power buffs is that, generally speaking, if people are paying for the service of buffing, they have certain expectations for what they're getting. I was buffing one day on Dath trying to get some XP for combat medic with some D enhance packs with a base quality of 524 (giving a range of ~600-1700 with my 110 droid). Since my primary goal was the XP, and my packs were not made with very good avian meat, I was only charging 2000 credits for the service. Most people appreciated the break in price from normal master doctor buffs, and didnt mention anything about them not being as high as is possible for a master doctor. However, despite the discount, I received a few complaints from customers that my buffs werent very good...one customer in particular exclaimed, "dude, are you even using D packs?" Aparently, he was expecting a buff of about 2000 on each stat.
So, i suppose the moral of the story would be that even though a buff of 300-1000 points would be beneficial, would a player be willing to pay for this sub-master buff, even if it were at a low price? It would certainly be an interesting experiment to try to sell these lesser buffs for dirt cheap alongside a master doctor selling buffs for the standard 5000 credits.
actually the market is good. ppl ask for buffs i tell them up front they are only mid range 300-800 points till i get to next level and that they cantip what they feel is fair. some ppl only 400 across the board acouple got over 800 across the board. they have all been appreciative to get them esp. when a master doc isnt around. soon i will get to use c's or experimented down d's and will providing a little better, with no more skill points that will be it. i did find that with my 110 med use probot it is nice to be able to buff in the field with out a camp. as far as tips go i have still been getting anywhere from 2k to 5k tips. and also went up 15k in exp in 2 days just from buffing.
so i guess if you can buff put them out there ppl with use your service. some thing is better than nothing.![]()
