What is a good way to grind for doctor to get done with the crafting part? im using stim A scematics but that only gives me about 124 exp.

Also would being a novice artisan help?

Novice Artisan won't help at all (not as far as crafting goes - it does, however, give you the ability to survey resources). You need to make medical items to gain medical crafting experience. The best things to craft are Biological Effect Controllers and, once you can make them (At Organic Chem 4), Advanced Biological Effect Controllers.
