Thread: The 400 Stim B Question

Perhaps it's just me or something, but Stims havn't been very nice to me, in the sense that I've never made a 400 base pack. I'm guessing that it's the adv comps, so perhaps if you've made a 400 base heal Stim B before, you could fill me in on the numbers.

I.E

Stim B

Organic: OQ900 PE900 (this is the stuff I used, some fungus)

Inorganic: OQ900 PE800 (this is the stuff I used, some petrol fuel)

ALS: P???

ACRDM: P???

ABEC: P??? C???

Lets assume you're crafting with a +14 tool, at a +40 station, with 10 experimentation points.

Not to **edit** or anything, but I'm really tired of making Stim Bs that hit about 350 when just abuot every other doc seems to be able to make 400+ stims. Thank you for any help/numbers in advance. And if I'm just dead wrong about the advance comps anyway, please do let me know so I learn something!

Its all about the ALS

With a 170+ ALS, you should be able to hit 400 with the organic/inorganic resources you stated. Using an ACRDM would help, but not necessary. ABEC contributes almost nothing to power, and you should use it to increase your charge number instead.

With similar resources as those, with a 165 ALS, 18 CRDM, 20/14 ABEC, I get Stim B's in the 390power/38charge range.

The previous post was correct - making a high power Stim is all about a high power LS. Of course, to do that, you're going to need some excellent Dantooine Berry Fruit and Talusian Water Vapor. These resources might not be currently available in the quality you require to reach 400 power, so you have a couple options. First, you can just wait and keep an eye on these resources or, second, you can ask around to see if anyone has some for sale on your server.

Also, I noticed the above line in your original post. You might want to rethink your choice for an inorganic. This inorganic is actually hurting your ability to reach higher powers. I'd suggest looking for an inorganic with no PE rating - the other attributes really mean nothing - just look for the highest OQ possible. Not too long ago, a type of lubricating oil appeared on Flurry that had OQ of 1000 - that makes a perfect inorganic for stims.

Thanks! ALS it is then!

Bul, incidently I am on Flurry, and I do have some of that 1000 OQ lube oil (thank god I didn't trash it).

Reason why I went with the petro chem as an inroganic was because it had OQ and PE.... I thought the OQ and PE for the organic and inorganic would combine (or at least be considered) when experimenting. If I get you correct, does that mean only the PE of the organic counts in experimentation?

OQ and PE both count. Basically, they're right. It's all in the ALS. Right now, I'm making 410/37's without using ACRDM's and saving those for buff packs. Right now, here are my stats:

ALS- 176

ABEC- 18C/17P

CRDM- 19

It actually counts both if both exist. So, in your case, you are averaging the 900 PE with the 800 PE of the inorganic, leaving you with a PE rating of 850. If you hadn't used an inorganic with PE, the system would have only used the PE of the organic, giving you a rating of 900, which is certainly better than 850.

If you need more info, check out the FAQ.

If all you're concerned about is power and nothing else, petro fuel is the way to go. However, it kills your charges, which rely on UT (and petro doesn't have any). Just something to consider.

Get a good group, look on something like SWGcraft.com, and find where the good herbivore meat is.

My guys (say about 6 of us) can harvest me 15k great herb meat per outing, andI just pay them a fat bounty as a thankyou.

A good CDRM of 60 or so can easily supplement an average ALS, or make a great Stim B if the ALS is top quality too. I hit Stim 429 way before mastering Doctor.

I make 39/413 Stim - B's with these exact components.

17/18 power/use BEC

8 power Chem release (non adv)

188 Power Liquid suspension

940 oq/970 PE corn

910 Oq/870UT steel (only better stuff I have found was tat fiber like im gonna waste that as a generic)

Now keep in mind.. all the components are on a 1:1 ratio

So like if i used high end class 4 + herb meat and make a 60 power chem release that final result would be 39/465 small stim b I would just rather use my high end class 4 and herb on enhance packs
