Thread: Doc advice needed.

Okay, I finally made MD. I've been on this road since launch. Being a doc wasn't on my list of profs when I started, but I found that I couldn't stay alive very well, and my friends all had no healing skills, so I picked up medic, and I just continued on with the skill tree progression.
I'm not sure how long I will stay doc, long enough to make abig bucket load of stim c's and d's to keep myself alive when I start dropping skills. In the meantime, I need some advice. Should I do the buff thing... or sell enhancement D's or just make Stims and sell them. If I stay Doc, I have a resource issue I'm sure all of us Doc's have... mainly herb, and avain meat. The others we can get our hands on.
Now i spent 4 days gathering a 7k combo of the above meat, but I don't want to spend that kind of time gathering resources to make these things.. and I don't have a big bank account either.. at any given time I might have about 100k, so 100cpu for avain meat is too rich for my blood.
I need some advice from some Doc's. Maybe some contacts for the meat gathering.... any advice, actually, would be appreciated.

see about gettinga loan, but on Eclipse server you can get crates of enhancements. Best I've found are 10 packs per crate, 28 uses per pack, and they are all quite good. I'm not a master doc yet, but I can still hit 2800 buffs with them. It cost 130k per crate however, so to get started it cost me 780,000 credits. Now prices do not always carry across servers but you can make good money buffing from buff packs you purchased. This can save you some time, but it is a little more costly than making your own.

Giving buffs is a huge money maker even if you're using average quality packs. So is selling stim B's. Once you get rolling you should be able to afford the high quality meats to make and sell 90 med use D buff packs.
And always check the bazaar when you're around. I've found thousands of units of quality meat at affordable prices. Some people just don't know that avian and herb meat are way more valuable than other meats and will put up big chunks ofdecent qualityfor 3-5 cpu.

heh, things got in the way.. I stayed master medic for a long while. experimenting with the game profs and generally just killing stuff. I strayed away from the game for a month or so as well. I never really had any goals to master x profession when I started playing... I just played.

took me about 1 day to get 0-2-4-0 doc.....bought buff packs...ran around buffing people randomly....1k per per buff....easy to fill 4-4-4-0 in no time...then power grind with a 9 chain tool macro on adv BEC and poof ur master doc

a great way to get meat... and one of my favored start up methods.
1. Find out who the major med sellers are on your server (people who are well established with a large business)
2. Find out what they are paying for different meats
3. find noobs and anyone you can to harvest meat at half the price the big boys are paying (DO NOT TELL THEM WHAT THE BIG BOYS ARE PAYING!)
4. sell HALF of the meat you have collected from the scouts to the big boys
5. You have just gotten avian/herb meat for free 
. I invested 2-3 days doing this with naboo avian meat and walked away with 33k of it. and best of all, it didnt cost me a single credit.
