Thread: Is it worth it? Medic Apron...

Outside coronet I saw someone spamming a vendor with medic aprons +5 experimentation and assembly. While I do not usually like to go to afk spammers vendors I thought I would check this out as I have not seen anything that gives docs +anything on those skills. I am a master doc and so I have 100 experimentation and assembly. Anyway, they were selling these aprons for 2 million and to me not much is worth 2 million, so I just wanted to ask if the +5 would make any difference in overall crafting?

Also I was wondering if BE/Tailors can make full sets of clothing that have these attributes? I don't think they were skill tapes mods because they all had 4 sockets on them.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

It's a schematic dropped from completing jaba's missions it is random so you can get one of four kinds. Tailors are the only ones who can make the schematic. And they require heavy leather i believe and possibly clasps.

Every 10 points of Medicine Experimentation gains you another Experiment point you can craft with (Medicine Experimentation is capped at 125).

This effectively means you can have 12 pts of experimentation instead of Master Doctor's 10 pts. So basically, the arpon is only worth it if you combine it with other Medicine Experimentation SEAs in different pieces of clothing.

The enhancements on the arpon are inherent to the schematic. There are no BE components that Tailors use, that can modify ANY crafting skill.

2 mil is a lot. I know on Eclipse there is now an over abundance of them and they are selling for 250k-750k.

so maybe wait a bit, see if more people make them

I paid 2 million for mine. There are WAY more available now.

Its worth it if: You have the money, you want 12pts, and you have 30+ mil to get the other +15 SEAs.

it helps.... not really necessary though... useless without 5 SEAs....

Worth it? I guess it depends on how much worth you put into trying to get 12 points for experimentation. If the "new" crafting system had gone in on a permanent basis I would say it's worth it since it's a healthy chunk towards getting to that magic 11th or 12th point. Since that system was only a one day deal on the live servers I would say the worth of it isn't that much.

With medical crafting, the extra points mainly translates into extra charges or a reduction in med. use. For the most part you can max out the power on everything just using 10 points and will often have a point or two left over to put somewhere else. The only schematics that I find it really nice for are BEC/ABEC's since allows for either more power or more charges depending on your experimentation preference (my personal preference is to max out the charges and then put the rest into power).

I guess it boils down to whether or not you are going to try for more than the standard 10 experimentation points or not. If you are, it's worth it. If not, I wouldn't bother spending the money on it...2 million credits would be better spent on buying some really nice resources that you can see the difference on.

it's worth if it you wanna be a l33t doc and make the BESTbuffs! Your best bet is to go to the jabba thing with like 4 friends and then whomever gets the doc schimatic can give it to you. You can make 3 from it anways, so they can have one to sell!

Umm...They're talking about the aprongives +5 to experimentation.

Not heal ability.

For better heals, get some better clothing, like a jacket that has +25 to injury and wound treatment.

As a former Master BE, I can tell you the +25 tissues are pretty easy to make.

+5 clothing is really not that great - it only requires a single Novice BE (0/2/0/0) tissue.

You might want to find a Master BE to make you some "Fully experimented Active Biosensors".

Good Luck.

Not that unusual really. I just meant that particular tailor decided to use some BE enhancements in it.
