im master doc on wanderhome server and people there raise hell if i charge over 7-8k per set of buffs, all of my buffs are around 2155. I put alot of time and ALOT of cash into these resources and this is the best i can get them...i know there are better. When i ask peeps to pay 10k....lol....i never hear the end of it, and anytime im in a group...ANYTIME...im expected to buff, rebuff, rez, heal, drag....never offered payment. How do you guys get these people to pay more without offending them. I really hate to sit in corenet and sell sets of buffs..even more when i can only get 7k per set. Just wondering.

Simple, I tell people my price, tell them its cash up front, if they argue at all I tell them its not up for negotiation and they either accept my terms or they don't get buffed by me.

As for buffing people I am grouped with. I have the opposite problem, so many of the people I group with seem to have a problem accepting free buffs. Hehe, I love my guild! )

on the rare occasion that im in a group that is not made up of the guild im in and people ask for a buff i simply tell them that because they are grouped with me i will buff them for a reduced price, then tell them what ever price you feel like charging if they dont want to pay then dont buff them simple as that, if they moan ask them when was the last time they were grouped with a armour smith and recived free ubase or comp or a wep smith and got a freebie, as for resing i dont mind resing them once or twice but if there dropping like flies then tell them straight , res packs cost money and you will be happy to continue resing them for a small free 500 or 1000 creds its nothing to them is it..

this might not be the most friendly approch but unless there your ingame friends etc then why should they get a free ride.. there using you/us and persoanly im sick of it

go join a friendly guild who will help you collect resource offer you alittle in way of return taking time out to buff them (upto u if you take it) and leave the uses to find some other mug

you might also find that alot of guild get a big group up but solo hunt if they need cash, not sure what prof you are but if u goto dantoonie for example to solo hunt janya;s while in a big group you can make much more money in 1 set of buffs then you can selling them for 6 to 8k go and also might get alittle janta blood while your at it.

you want a buff out of me 12k minimum, i can just buff my alt master fencer master swordsmen and run janta mission or rancor lairs in mins an dmake 5 times the cash when are ppl going to realise that buff is in truth more valuable to you than 80% kinetic because you can't wear that armour without them armoursmiths make a huge profit were talking 100%'s markups docs don't so why not start appreciating us allright a novice needs the xp so buffs/heals for free but i don't eed xp infact everytime i res you or heal you i'm paying for it so lets see some respect in general and especially in a monetry form

I still have to buy packs, and will until I am willing to sacrifice my wrists to grind up crafting. As a result I have been charging 12k per set @1660 when the going rate on Bria is 10k for 2000+, it is the only way to get enough profit to make it worth my while. I don't get a lot of business, but that is fine with me. Sometimes I get a line, if nobody else is buffing. I am still making more off resource sales than doctoring at 3/4/4/2.

Are you upfront about your price? If so, there is no reason to take abuse as long as /ignore works. Some folks want to argue with you in the hope of getting a better price, and probably will no matter what you charge. If they negotiate politely, and Ineed money, I will sometimes take less. Look at the Architect forum some time and see how the fools act. Make your intent to /ignore them clear, and they may think about what happens when they want a rez.

Similarly with groups, be upfront when you join. Personally I drag, heal damage and wounds as part of my job,but tell them if they don't /tip me$5kfor a rez another won't be in the cards (they always pay). Buffs in a group are pre-paid at normal prices, but if the maintank is unbuffed and cheap I will negotiate. I don't want him to die!

In my case it is based on what I pay for the meds. But there isn't much market for my buffs no matter how little I charge, everybody wants the best. Your quality is probably why they think it's worth their time to abuse you, put them on /ignore and you'll probably see them kneeling in front of you a few minutes later.

As a fellow Wanderhome doc, I know exactly where you are coming from here.I gave up selling buffs some time ago and now make my money by supplying other docs with buff packs.I find it is just more fun to let my factories and vendors do most of the work while I have fun and support my guild with free buffs. My advice to you, if you wish to make your money selling buffs, is to avoid Coronet. You have good buffs (I hit about the same as you when I don't use Bivoli) and they are worth the 10k, easily. On the rare occasion that I let someone I don't know talk me into buffing him, I charge at least 10k.Try one of the adventure planets (Dathomir, Yavin, Endor or even Dantooine). Many will be happy to pay a premium for a good set of buffs if it means they don't have to shuttle to Coronet and wait in line. I used to do well in Theed too, just because there is less competition. There are players who realize that buffs are worth far more than the 6k that many doctors charge on WH. I know many of my guildmates (including my in-game wife) won't hesitate to pay 10k for a good set of buffs when I'm not around to do it for free. It's unfortunate that we play on the cheapest server when it comes to meds, I've been fighting that for many months now.

On chilastra my standard is as follows:

Sub 2000 buffs: 8k

2000 - 2300 : 10k

> 2300 : 12k

On the advanced planets

Lok: 14k / 15k(1700 credits to theed. 800 credits to corellia and back - 5000 credits altogether. You save the time)

Dathomir / Dantooine / Yavin: 15k / 17k (same principle)

In a group:

1st Rez is free. 2nd or more i charge 500 per rez

Healing is free

No complaints so far.
