I always have people form legit lines for buffing. Today I had a guy that 8th I believe and he offered me 10k for a bump to the front of the line. I said sure. I am still only about 7days into being master and I still have $$ in my eyes since I am not rich yet. Well it pissed some of the people off in line(justified I would think) and 2 people left saying they would take their business elsewhere. I completely understand that people would be pissed and thinking bout it I would probably feel the same way they did and leave, it was a decent sizedline. After thinking about it I have come up with a new policy. If some one wants to cut to the front of the line then they need to pay the current buff price of every person in front of them. If they had3 people in front of them then they pay 30k to jump to front plus the buff cost, 10k curently on Bria. This way if anyone is pissed and leaves myprofit is not hurt and I also let everyone know how much they paid to jump the line. This also I think would make the jumper seem less an afront to them if they know the higher price they paid. It would also keep the jumpers down a little.

Yes I know that I could just not accept any jumpers but as I only have 500k atm I am trying to build a nicebank account.

Anyone else had thoughts about this or been in similar situations?

I am not up to the level to be buffing yet. But I did pay 30k to jump line once when the standard price was 6k. Once I had my buffs I went down the line of people and tipped everyone a K to make up for ditching them.

I'm a Master Doc and have been buffing the public for about a month now. I normally operate a first come first served policy to avoid this type of thing.

I've only broken that policy once so far, player only wanted an Action buff and was willing to pay full price. I only had 4 people in line so I didn't feel that bad (it's only 16 seconds after all )

I like your idea though of charging them based on the number of people in front of them. It does benefit us though more than our customers. I might suggest that the jumper pay a fee to those in front, say 1k a person, to compensate them. (as well as paying us more of course )

Never offend the customer when you can lie. Tell 'em you owe the guy for something. Like botched buffs, it makes 'em think you're a stand up guy which benefits you, and keeps them placated while you make some extra on the side.

Sincerity is the key, once you can fake that you've got it made.

Get the $$$ out of your eyes and don't let people cut. You said it yourself that people were ticked about this guy cutting. Sometimes people can wait upwards of half an hour for their buff. IMO it's not fair to let people cut and it's not right.

You will make so much money buffing that 10K is barely a drop in the bucket. The last time I buffed for cash I made about 500K in about 2-3 hours. 10K is nothing compared to that amount.

Don't let people cut. Think about it if you were on the other end. You've been waiting for 30 minutes to get your buff and some 1337 punk comes up and offers the doc 100K to cut the line and you've just been bumped. Oh wait here comes some uber rich armorsmith and offers 100K and you wait even more.

How wouldYOU feel.

Not a Doc but I thought this might work. Tell the person who wants to cut in line they must start at the back of the line and negotiate a price with each player waiting to buy their spot in line, then you will do it for the normal fee plus whatever they offered you. If one person refuses then they do not advance any further.

I have two lines.

Economy and Express.

Express costs 3x.

If you advertise the Experss line then there are no issues when some one wants to jump in line then they know the price and everyone else knows the reason I let someone jump up.

I open up the Express lane as soon as I see 5 people in line.

Its simple, clean, and fair. But best of all you make a lot of extra cash.

Nice idea Marrow1 but isn't that going to tick some of your customers off?

I guess not that it matters if you are the only one buffing what choice do they have.

If someone offers me 30k to cut into the front, when there are 10 people in line - I tell him he is number 11

No one has seriously complianed. Most have laughed and said I was becoming an airline and asked if I gave frequent buff coupons.

The trick is to make the Express buff price high enough that most will not pay but low enough that some rich folks will.

If you state the two lines up front then no one has any issues. Everyone understands the Express lane idea from RL. You pay more for faster service or you save money and spend time waiting.

Don't do it if your line is only 2 deap and don't start the new line if the economy line has gotten too long. I shoot for about 5. This way if the 5 th person wants to jump up they can and no one has waited so long that it is really an issue.

I have gotten off pretty easily with this.... I just keep a list of people and a glob of people sits around me, most akf, when someone comes up and wants to jump ahead, it is easy because most people dont know what place in line they are. If someone does complain, I say its a friend, most understand this. I see this as semi-dishonest and perfer to not let people know. The price must be more than triple the ammount I am buffing for(I buff for 8k, so I make em pay 24k - usually 25k)
