Thread: Marrow1: An annoying issue to report

For the good of Healers... all kinds... Please report this group UI issue:

Group direction arrows to grouped players are directed from the characters facing, not the players camera view. This makes it more or less impossible for a player with a healer character to quickly determine which direction their wounded friend is.

This is NOT how it worked pre-cu.

Example:
^ = Group arrow
^= Player character, arrow points at the direction player character is facing
O = Location of friend
-------------- = Screen, facing the same view at all times, just moving the character "^" around.

Visual Example 1:
In Game: Correct:
----------------------------
^ ^
O O

^ ^
----------------------------
----------------------------
<^
OO

> >
----------------------------

Visual Example 2:
In Game: Correct:
----------------------------
^<
O < O <

----------------------------
----------------------------
> <
O v O v

-------------- --------------

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

We were asked to give our top 3 issues a few weeks ago regarding our prof and one outside our prof. The group arrow pointers just so happened to be mine. I never got a reply regarding the issue but I will bring it up again.

In addition to the odd locator the update rate is very slow (if it updates at all).

I noticed it, but didn't make the connection to why it was happening.

To solve it, I made a few quick macros, though, that target player X and then /follow them. If I were truly motivated, I would map them to my numpad key, the way I did pre-CU. Such that numpad 2= Target group member 2;/follow;/pause 2;/bactashot;/bactajab

Or some such....

Shyy'rissk the Angry Wookiee:Former Master Swordswook 4440 Doc, Pre-NGE TKM, MPike, Doc 4000, now Master Spy. "Still here, still hitting things until they fall down."

Eenig Darksun, Former Ith Pistoleer and Armorsmith, now Officer "No, you can't call me ET."
Daolee the Spiky, Rodian Medic. "We puts the needle in here, and either you die, or you feel better. If you die, we use it on enemy next time!"

This is what I was forced to do as well.

I have group members on Shift 1-7, and then /follow on G.
