Thread: Re-newb needs your help!
I dont understand most of the complaining about the masterdoc, maybe because im dutch but also because theres a lot of info and disagreement. But wil sketch my profile and please help me out a little:
Im still respeccing so i have riflemaster and masterdoc. Why doc? Because yesterday i was at the krayt graveyard hunting krayts when i met an old friend that is a masterdoc. I was amazed as he told me he would be an even better healer then a jedi and could tank even the biggest krayts. I told him i was astonished and didnt believe it. But he then showed me. He tanked some juves without being close to getting killed, and then he tanked a big one, without gettin less then 50% health!
Am i missing something? Cause i was kinda hoping to finally choose my 2 profs: Master Doc and Master Rifler.
Any hints or suggestions!?!? Is this combo good for someone that wants to make a lot of damage, but also wants to solo once in a while due to nightshifts? (I sometimes play when nobody is around)
Edit: Postet this question in another thread also, but as it is very important for me (few days respeccing left) i wanted to make my own thread. Please dont spam i really need the help!!
Rifles/Doc is a good combo. As is Rifles/CM. There are pros and cons of either.
With your left over skill points you may want to pick up a little pistols to grab stopping shot. It will help you kite long enough to stay alive. Intimidation is also helpful.

Hello marrow,
was kinda hoping you would jump in and give me some of your expertise. Is it worth to be a master doc or not? I'm reading for about 4 hours constantly in the doc forum now. As some people say, is it bugged atm or is it fixed, and is it really possible to be such a good tank, or was this guy doing some weird trick?
When i want to be a good soloplayer AND do some damage, is master doc better then master combatmedic?
I will be asking more re-newbie questions if i may, maybe its also interesting for other players who are hitting the galaxies after being away for a long period of time.
Thanks again!
If I were going to build a solo PvE toon with either CM or Doc ... Hmmm off the top of my head here are my thoughts.
Comparisons.
1. Good healing. Doc will be a bit better than CM. They largest bonus for solo play comes from B. Infusion. You can use this at the start of the attack and then macro it so that it is more or less always running.
2. Buffs vs Debuffs. For PvE debuffs do not help much. Paralize is the exeption because it gives you some time to heal up assuming your attacking one mob. However, mind buff and action buffs can be very helpful. A. Boost is also very nice. So I give the nod to Doc.
3. Dots. At the moment creatures do not poison or disease so being able to cure them is not helpful. So I would give the nod to CM for being able to drop dots on a target. Stacking poison and fire can be a nice way to increase your over all DPS.
4. State cures. Not that much a bonus at the member. So this is kinda moot.
5. Skill points. If your going Ranged then going CM saves 14 skill points. Enough to pick an extra line in a different prof. This can be very helpful to pick up a few extra specails. If your going melee then you save 15 points by going Doc.
6. What else to pick up besides Doc/CM. To solo you really want to pick up a prof that offers great Def or offers roots/snares or large damage. Some good combos Doc/TK/Swords or CM/Rifles/Pistols.
If you go with Doc/Rifles then try to pick up 0004 pistols for the root. This way if you are getting beat up you can root and run away and heal then come back in to fight. Rifles offers some nice specials, damage, and range and is a good over all PvE prof. Dont over look Carbs.
Adrenalin boost???
Or 14 skill points????
Thats i think really the biggest thing as a rifleman going either doc or CM.
