Thread: Factories pulling from crates yet?
My factory isn't doing a darned thing. At all. (see my other thread) I was hoping to test whether or not they do pull from crates, but no dice.
So much for playing today......
Yeah everybody's factories are hosed now.. not only food and chems..
Bad side is they're broke right now.. good side is that now they're gonna have to pay attention to all the factory bugs so they'll hopefully fix em soon.
Thanks for that post, Pho -- I was wondering if other crafting classes were having issues as well. But there were SO many posts in the artisan forum....... well, you get the picture. ![]()
Heh I was just coming to ask that same question. I just finished making 200 BEC's and working on 200 chem then 200 liquid. Seems to be working so far, but I haven't been able to test the crates yet. That would be great if it actually worked.
Question though, when putting ingredient in should you put it in the order the schematic calls for or the order the factory says?
I make drugs from crates all the time, here's what I've found. 1. You cannot re-use a schematic. Try to make like 55 or 105 items so you end up with 1 or 2 full crates and one with just a few in it. You cannot stop the process and take a partial crate out, at least it didn't work for me. Leave ALL partial components in the output hopper. Now you've made say 55 BEC's 55 LS and 55 DC you have 6 crates in your output hopper, take out the 5 unit crates and take the items out of the crates and combine to make your schematic. Load the schematic into the factory. Starting with an empty input hopper, put the organic in, then put the inorganic in, then put FULL crates of the other items in. I put them in the order that they show up in the schematics. I forget the exact order I think it's BEC, DC, then LS, not sure if it matters. If you want to make 100 or 200 items, put enough organics and inorganics then put SETS of crates in, that is put one BEC, one DC, and one LS, then Put another BEC, DC, LS etc. This is the only sure way I've found to get it to work. Oh and don't try putting the Crates from the output hopper into your backpack and then into the Input hopper, it doesn't seem to recognize it. It has to go straight from the output hopper to the input hopper and it has to be in the right order. If it fails for some reason, you need to take them all out and use them for manual manufacturing or else take them out of the crates and put them in the factory.
Sucks, but it works. If you've experimented with something similar and found out a way around some of the things I do, please let me know. It may work in other combinations, but so far this is the only SURE way I've found to make mass quantities. I've only made up to 200 in one batch at a time of B Stim's so I'm not sure if there's a quantity limit.
Falconsbane-
Pre-patch fixes aren't applicable anymore, and really shouldn't be posted in threads like this. (No insult intended; I know you're trying to help.) Factories have been changed; what we're struggling to find out is HOW they've been changed, and whether the pre-patch issues were fixed by these changes.
It looks like the factory problems I've been having are a server-by-server thing. Apparently everyone on Corbantis is having issues, but there are some servers that have no factory issues.
Hmm......
Wath out for Hopper sizes. Output hopper were reduced from 1000, to 100. Considering that many of use use that as a storage area, you might be too loaded up in the output hopper for a factory to run.
You'll have to get those crates out of the output hopper and get it down below 90% (some people have actually reporteed haveig to go below 50% to get it to work).
