Thread: Buff crafting question power vs duration
I was looking to get some 2hr duration buff packs made for my doc (not much of a crafter myself), as it seems rare that I get a chance to play for more than that atm, and it feels wasteful to keep logging off with 1.5 hours or so remaining on my buffs.
Would a crafting doctor be able to do this easily, and would it mean that more emphasis could be put into a higher power? Any idea roughly what the trade off ratio would be?

There's no way to make such a trade off during experimentation -- power and duration are on the same experimental line.
Depending on your server, it may be possible to use different avian meat and gas to max out power without worrying about duration... For instance, I have 2 gases that I use -- 970oq/890dr, and 992oq, 680dr. The tradeoff is +8 points of power, -800 seconds of duration. Similarly, I have a stack of meat with great power numbers, but 7dr. Using it, I can make packs with higher power than anything I currently stock, but the duration wouldn't exceed 2hrs 45mins even if I use the high DR gas.
The caveat to that, though, is the difficulty of doing special orders of enhance packs... If you were on my server, I'd be happy to make the packs described, even though they're not part of my regular product line, but only if you ordered somewhere in the vicinity of 200 sets of packs. ![]()
