While there is a big difference between Master Doctor and dabbling in a few of its branches, there is less difference in Master Combat Medic and dabbling in a few of its branches. I'm sure you could go Novice Rifleman at least and still have rather powerful poisons. Do you craft your own poisons/diseases, or do you buy from vendors?

It seems to be a popular combination for those enjoying a support role. Depending on how the upcoming changes affect combat and group play, it may work out very well for you. You may want to ask our correspondent directly how well it plays, I believe they are a doctor/combat medic.

my fav template for pve was

4440 doc, 3004cm, master pistoleer. 0404 marksman.

Worked greate with my pistol dots and my cm dots, plus I could buff myself and cure what ever was needed to be cured. Worked pretty good. You could sub rifleman with my pistoleer and it would work the same.

If you're goal is to be a good soloist, or to do high damage in PVP, then don't bother mastering CM, go 4004, put the rest into rifles and buy your DOTs. I would even consider dropping some of doc then too. If you want to be great at group support, or make money crafting meds, then go for it. Right now, I'm a Master Doc, Mater CM, 0104 Marksman and Novice Scout. I pick up scout whenever there is a great avian meat spawn on my server, otherwise I'm usually MD/MCM and 0044 marksman.I make my money by crafting and selling meds. Buff packs are my mainstay, but I also do pretty well with CM stuff.Yhe only other reliable way to make money with this template is to buff the public. Obviously, the earning potential that way is the same as for any other master doc.

While my meds business is great for bringing in money, it's not why I enjoy my template. I am the ultimate battlefield healer and I like it that way. While I'm pretty good at 1 on 1 combat, I know that I can never compete with a dedicated combatant. It was never my intent to. My purpose is to keep my combatants alive long enough to kill my enemies. The doc/cm template is perfect for that.
