I have never crafted a buff pack and now realize im missing out on some serious cash! I have a few questions, if anybody can answer them.

1. What kind of factories do i need?

2. How many do i need?

3. How much of what type of resource will i need?

Also i havnt unlocked fs crafting, hopefully i can still make decent buffs! Thanks to any who answer, if this was already posted somewhere sorry for the repeat, i did try and look for it.

1. What kind of factories do i need? Food factories.

2. How many do i need? At least one, less than 50.

3. How much of what type of resource will i need? The list is in the FAQ. Keep in mind though, that unless you have 50+ million credits to spend to ramp up for production, you're looking at 4 to 6 months of resource collection before you'll be able to make anything even remotely like saleable enhance packs.

Hope that helps. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it! This may sound dumb, but when you get your factoriesand set them up do they automatically make the sub components for whatever buff schematic you select? (ie dispersal mechanisms, abec's, etc..)

Thanks Again!

you insert the schematic into the factory via the radial menu, then a new option will appear to "start manufacturing" assuming you have power and maintenance inthem.

right on, sounds easy enough...now for resource hunting. Off to the FAQ for info on that. How did you guys get started wih factory manufacturing? Is it easier to save credits until your ready to start crafting everything at once, or is it better to start crafting one or two really good buff packs and go from there?

Thanks for the replies so far, they have helped alot!

Typically the way to go is to start with Stims. The resources are *much* easier to come by, and they'll make you some money while you're looking for all the stuff needed for enhance packs.

By and large, it isn't possible to craft "one or two really good buff packs", because of the variety of resources necessary -- you might be able to buy everything you need to make solid stims for 3 cpu, but most of the time no amount of money will get you a big enough stack of avian meat to do anything productive as far as buffs are concerned. (and without good avian meat, even if every other resource you have is from God's own hoard, your packs will suck)

Just harvest what you can, when you can, and when you get close to having everything, maybe think about buying what you haven't been able to harvest. If you see an avian meat spawn with 850+ average oq and pe, hit it hard -- go into debt to buy more if you're able to find someone who'll extend you credit...

Allright, ill start with stim e's. Kauri has Avian meat that is 900+ right now for both PE and OQ, so im collecting the sh!t out of it. Im going to start trying to master fs crafting so that hopefully by the time i do illhave everything for making buff packs. Other than that, i may start trading buffs for resources of good quality.

Whats funny is that i thought i had alot of money until i saw how much resources cost lol!! Curses!!Ishouldnt have bought that AV-21!!

thx again for help

Sorry, im not reading these forums regularly (trade forums are more important to get some good old resource spawns ), but I think nobody said that you will have to make the subcomponents in a first factory run, and then put the produced crates into the factory as input for the second run with your buff schem. Your factory will not make the subcomponents automatically when you insert a buff schematic. Infact, you need the finished crates from the subcomponent factory run to even be able to craft a buff schem.
