Good resources are not always available. Resources regularly "shift" at different intervals. You could have a 900+ OQ Lokian wild wheat here today, but two days later a 300 OQ Lokian wild wheat spawns instead.
Best bet is to get an artisan to survey for you regularly, or pick up artisan yourself and survey every other day or so. Another somewhat reliable option is to visit SWGcraft.com and click on "current resources" to see what resources are spawned on what planets on your given server, and their associated attributes.

You do not need to be an Artisan, but you will have to work with one to show you where to place your harvesters in a spot with enough concentration of what your looking for.

If you do not want to work with an Artisan to find a good spot, then you will need to have Novice Artisan and the correct survey tool to find what you are looking for. You DO NOT need any skills of any type to plant or use a harvester, just buy the correct mining equipment from an Arch to actually get it out of the ground.

Two places I check to see what is in spawn on my server:
Doc, CM, and SHipwright "Hit List"
and
I do suggest that you stick with radioactive fuel whihc can be harvested with a Fusion Reactor and found using Mineral Survey Device. Solor and wind just arent worth the time.
