Thread: Hospitals, you think they will give them a use now?

Ignore me Im just in the mood for adding this.
With all this killing of our profession it would be funny if they finally made our hospitals usefull

I doubt they will.
The building is too cramped for much combat. Then again, the NPC cities with multi-level hospitals could provide some interesting battleground situations (with the elevators and all). Throw in a couple underground levels, some keycodes for operating the elevators, maybe even some nasty critter at the top level and you could have a real use for the buildings.
Of course, if you meant for actual healing then I'll stick with "I doubt they will".

Perhaps they could use them as a sort of static "PvP only-zone". They could charge an entry fee to get in and then only allow the elevators to work if you are the only one not incaped - sort of a perpetual king-of-the-hill kinda thing with bragging rights for staying on the 3rd level in Coronet (or whatever). The possibilities are limiteless.
Of course, if you meant for actual healing then I'll stick with "I doubt they will".

Back in the early days, PvP did actually end up at the hospitals. If I recall correctly, one of the factions (imp i think) had medics and docs stationed on the top floor healing the wounded as the battle continued on the main floor. It took me a bit to realize this since hospitals weren't my usual place for healing (think camps). Those were the days.
