Thread: Enhancers Still Broken

As far as I can tell, Enhancers are still broken on the conversion test centers.

Last night I crafted a 620 Effectiveness, 129 Charge Nutrient Injection Enhancer.

I then applied it to myself -- I buffed for 10% Health, 10% Health Regeneration for 1 hour, 20 minutes.

Now correct me if I'm wrong/don't understand the current system (does anybody?) wouldn't that buff for 620 for whatever my buff time is (ie; Master Doctor buffs for 2 hours)? I'm really curious as to what it's supposed to buff for, if I'm not right.

I mean, a 620 buff would only be 20% of a level 80 combat HAM. So what would be so bad about that? Anyways, if you know what the deal is -- please post up.

People are guessing the enhancers work on a scale from 0 efficiency to 1000 efficiency, which is mapped to a 0% to 10% buff. No confirmation of this theory so far, though. Also, some enhancers only seem to have an effect on duration, not power of the innate buffing abilities.

but then why would you need them??? you buff for 10% without them??

the frog buffs at 50%, and i recall the devs saying something about maybe 30% being tops... so i'd guess after they fix enhancers they'll probably be betweeen 25%-40%

but that's a guess, i know nothin

Exactly that is why its on the doctors list of CU issues - duration is not relevant since there will be a doc in the group to rebuff at any time, and with power being equal between master medic and master doc, it renders master doc useless.

Im a doctor but also a combatant (have multiple accounts on live) I do not like the idea of people feeling like they need to get buffs before they can PVP. PVP has been amazing on test center. It is awesome to be able to hop right into a battle without feeling you need to get buffed up first. I hope they dont make buffs too powerful or people will start feeling like they have to have them to compete at all, and that would just put us back in the same sitution we were in before. I think once players get used to the new system they will be happy they are no longer chained to a doctor in order to be able to operate. I think that we should get used to the fact that our primary role is no longer being a buff bot, but we should have more of a combat role. With innate abilities the way they are this can be done without all the overhead.

We are now a combat support profession and I really think that we should be out there healing and keeping the other troops in the battle.
