Thread: Doctor Buffs Stack (or, how to buff for 30% Health)

Tonight, we learned that the Advanced Nutrient Injection, Improved Nutrient Injection, and Nutrient Injection DO stack.

Our Master CM, Master Medic Aneeka was 3 boxes from Master Doc. She buffed us with Improved Nutrient Injection. Aneeka got her XP, went and trained Master, and hit us with her new Advanced Nutrient Injection, to try to see if we could buff over the old one.

Rather than Buff over it, or just do the sparklies with no effect, we got a second buff icon. Our health was up an additional 10%. We had a master medic with us, and asked him to hit us with Nutrient Injection. Sure enough, we got an additional 10% health!

Now, the problem is that the game removes your 'lesser' skills as you get better ones. We tried using the / command, but it simply triggered the Advanced Nutrient Injection. What is bugged? Should Advanced buff you for 30%, or should you have access to all three versions as a Master Doctor? The CU notes say that a doc can buff your health by up to 30%. Currently, we would need a master doc, a medic, and a partial doc to get all 3 buffs.

Can someone explain what the problem is? Also, are we the first to discover the stacking buffs?

Very interesting. I'll have to test this when I login tomarrow. I did notice that I had to manually change the toolbar icon to Advanced injection and I still had the improved one listed in my Commands window (ctrl+a one)

Very interesting. Sounds like a definite bug to me especially if the documentation says MDocs are able to buff 30%.

Does this work with healing abilities? giving us three shots to use instead of just the one?

I know this does because I have regualr and improved bacta shot and can use both, but they are on the same timer I believe so it won't give us another heal.

This is happening with other skills as well for instanceforce run.

Someone has FR1 on there tool bar then qualified for FR2 and they put that in a seperat box so they have FR1 and 2 now instead of just 2 like intended. Now that can stack FR1 and FR2 and later when they get FR3 they can stack that as well.

It seems to be a bug with the old skill icons not being removed from the tool bar like they are supposed to (like when you drop a skill box, the icon for the skill you lost is removed, thats what should be happening to older versions of skills when you get better forms of them).

You can pretty much stack everything with its differnt variations (normal, improved, advanced)if you leave them on your tool bar.

This needs to be fixed fast. There are so many skills that can be exploited because of this bug its sickening.

I think the point is you would need 3 buffers - a master doc, a non-master doc and a medic - all applying different level buffs.

Very interesting findings!
