Thread: How effective is a CH/Doctor combo?
That combo would work pretty well, imo. Just make sure you don't attack the targets yourself, since you won't be able to handle the agro.
Hint: Buff your pets constitution and stamina, once you can. With a master level buff, my buddy's graul mauler pretty much regens the damage as fast as the MOBs can deal it.
Yeah, I was thinking about that also.
Geez, I would hate to come across a master doc, master ch with an At-St...
Dunno, but I am actually working on this combo right now. Let me tell ya, crafting xp is killing me.

Hiya guyz, well I am a Master Doctor/CH.... i can fill you in on this combo a bit.
I Started on launch day of SWG, I had my plan mapped out and Master Doc/Master CH was exactally what I had "intended" to accomplish. After several months my target spec changed, due to Nerfs and Experiance grinds. My spec now is Master Doc, CH 3/2/2/2. the rest of my points i put in to marksman. I maxxed my rifle skills and that all she wrote for skill points. I did this because I wanted to be able to deal DMG and not be dependant on my pets, mostly because my pets were so buggy, from them dissapearing on me to them having pathing problems to them just plain not attacking on command.
My only Use for CH right now is a 10k hp Tank with armor 2. Effictively named my little AT/ST stopper. With a Queen Kliknik I can solo AT/ST's (shhhhh) dont tell anyone. I think this spec is absolutly perfect for me, with my bowcaster(i am a wookie oviously) I do 3x the amount of dmg that my pet does, my pet is simply there to take the damage, and it works very very well. The only thing I havent tried to solo Kryat Dragons...and for good reason, that disease they have is brutal. I am honestly still undecided if i will keep my CH skills because of the fact that I get totally demoralized in PvP, sure my pet kills anything I tell it too but having some defensive skills sure would help. The ONLY reason I didnt drop CH is because the mercenaries that you can hire with faction points have no armor rating. Unless you go Imperial and get AT/ST's.
Overall though this class/race combo is the best, most fun, most effective...character that I have ever played. Good luck and I hope you guyz have as much fun as I have with this.
I'm currently a Master Doc and 1/1/1/3 in CH. I'm stuck there and unable to progress into CH any more (was going master CH so I could deal combat damage while staying out of combat) because I need to keep pistol specialist around for the time being.
Unfortunately, no matter how buff your pets are, unless you have a skill in a weapon your mission difficulty setting is going to be extremely low. Plus, if your pet kills mission mobs, you get 0 faction from them.

Anyway, if things worked as they "should", then this combo would be incredibly sweet IMO.
Big pet + buffs + healing power = can't go wrong?

sounds like an ideal target for an AE Mind Poison/run like baz nitch combo.
This seems like it should be a good combination. Unless I mapped it out incorrectly, I should be able to reach Master Medic, Master Doctor and Master Creature Handler, with 4 points left over for something like the 1st tier in survival so I can make a little bette camp. I would of course have zero combat ability, but that's what I have a BH for on a different server.
Anybody have this combo? How effectively can you keep your pets alive without CM skills? This same character is currently going Carb/CH, but once I get closer to Master CH I will start dropping the Carb and raising the Med and into the Doctor trees. Lugging around a CL 50 pet should at least help collect those hard-to-reach resources!
Let me know how this has worked for you, and if there are any glaring downsides I might have missed.
i am a master doc / master CH
this set up suits my play style. it is a challenging road not ment for any one. i dont have any combat skil what so ever my pts do the dmg dealing. true they are good tanks but no where near the dmg dealing players dish out
