Thread: Pay for healing: Make Doctors and Entertainers a Faction
Players have gotten to used to free healing, even if we created a secure system to heal x wounds for x fee, would anyone use it? There has to be an additional incentive. Here is my idea:
Make 2 new factions, Doctors and Entertainers.
You get + points if you pay more than 1c per 1 point of wounds(or fatigue). You get 0 points if you pay but dont make the 1c per 1 wound. If you just gimp out of paying, you get- points.
Now, there needs to be some advantage or disadvantage to having a high - or + score. We dont want doctorsauto attacking people with -5000 doctor faction. (Doctors might want to but....)
Neg:
Lose 1 (and ONLY 1) point of medical use (force the people with only novice medic to either pay or have to get another med use skill box)
Stim packs works less effectively on you. (Doctor's and their own)
Fatigue takes LONGER to heal or is more damaging to have.
Plus:
Maybe add mind healing (VERY small amount) to all stim healings (must have very high faction points)
Increase the duration of Mind buffs from entertainers to Doctor like durations (20m-2hours)
Now the Plus and Neg are just ideas, they can be anything, but make them good. So what do you think of this idea?

As long as you can make that system so it can not be explotied at all, which righ tnow is full of possible exploits,so no.
Just charge up front.
