Thread: New Doc ability (possibly master doc ability)

I think that one of the abilitys of a doctor should be ablity to set up a medical tent. these medical tents SHOULD NOT have the ability to make ham healing faster on its own like how the scout camp does. It should have severalcots (med beds)and chairs for each bed for doc to sit on (my butt hurts from sitting on the ground for so long). there should be a medical crafting station and should give a certian percent bonus to using meds and healing wounds. Also be able to ward off animals. They should be seemy permanent and take a few minutes to set up, to balance them against scout camps. and possibly a few more bonuses or drawback to balance them agains droids w/ craftin stations and med mondules, and scout/ranger camps.



it should be high level thing or a master doc ability.



what do you all think?

Interesting, but if we are going to steal abilities from other classes, I'd rather get surveying from artisan.

Wooo, at first it sounded good, but hate to say you are taking it a bit far...

Medical tent, awesome idea... give us the ability to bust out a droid and heal people while there... semi permanent, perhaps... though I think scout camps aren't permanent so that it doesn't clutter the server. Ward off animals, doesn't seem realistic [unless scout camps can do this too, which I assume they can't]. Crafting station, definitly would be overkill IMO. It is just a tent afterall.

I like the idea of a tent, just not with as many "perks" that you are asking for here.

Tents and surveying... two things I would very much like to see now...

That is to say, you don't have to have a droid to heal there, but the ability to bring one out if you have one.

My 1000 OQ Dant Berries for an edit button. Ok so I don't have 1k OQ Berries, but I can dream!!!

And as long as I'm spamming up my post count, I would want it to be a Master Doctor perk... there currently isn't any real bonus besides the regular increased speed/heal and schematics.

Nah, I agree that if we're gonna take from another prof, we should take survey and a limited sample from artisan. The sample could work similar to a nov artisan's sample, except instead of giving you any resources, it could just pop up the 'examine' screen for the resource, for all I care. I don't care about getting any actual resources through sampling, just seeing how good they are. I always destroy what I sample anyway, since I don't like carrying around 1 unit of this and 5 units of that.

ok mabey the crafting station was a bit overkill ill amit that.


but i do think this is something that would improve the game. semi permanent im not talking about leaving it there for day on end. what im talking about is you set up a camp you then go hunting with your group lets say a 500m away and it wont disband like scout camps do. the reasoning why they should ward off animals is because you dont want some aggro spawning next to your camp and come attacking, currently scout camps are supposed to ward off creatures but there is conflicting reports as to weather all of them do.


with this idea i was trying to make it so scout camps would still be better since they are set up instantly and this doc camp would take 3-5 minutes to set up. plus higher end ranger camps have crafting stations so they would also be a better choice.


lets not consider this stealing others because that is not were i got the idea from. i got it while hunting tuskens and thought it would be nice if i could set up some kind of official first aid station. but then i forgot it and another thread had M*A*S*H* in its name so then i rembered.
