Factories pulling from crates is very buggy. For best results, always use two full crates for each subcomponent.

Don't you also need to pull some components out of each crate and put those in the hopper too? Three from one and four from the other?
Yes, all of the components have to have the same serial number as the components the schematic was made from, I don't know what that person was making by hand, but they won't work in a factory.
A few other things I've noted:
You can easily make 2 crates of 50 by typing in the number (ie it comes up 100, you add a 2 between the zeros [1020] and delete the last zero [102]). You can do thisup to 1000. I always make 102 to give me a margin for 1 critical failure or to get the best of 2 results

If you put the ingredients in the input hopper in the same order listed on the schematic they will make perfect runs one of every 3 times.
