Thread: Should Resusitation only be Master Doctor specific?

This has been brought up before but I want to revisit this discussion.



I believe in order to make the goal of being a Master Doc more worth it is to move the use and making of Resusitation Kits a Master Doc only ability. This would give one a final goal to reach master. As it stands, there is no REAL benefit other than experimentation points upon reaching Master. Most just climb the one tree to gain the ability to use resus packs and just buy them off the ones who can craft them.



I just think this would bring more Master Docs into play and make being a Master Doc noteworthy. Because as it stands, being Master Doc is not a necessity.

Let me tell you the answers you'll get...

Master-Doctors will say yes.
Everyone else will say no.

I'm a master-doctor, so of course I want to be a little more special. But I think a whole 2 skill trees is a lot to ask people to get just to be able to rez.

I disagree - we need to leave revive where it is. Otherwise, how many master doctors are there out there? The dead bodies will pile up to our ears...


Instead, let's get a new ability set at Master that would attract attention. Heal/buff the mind pool, revive faction pets, etc.

I agree, too. As it stands, I think theonly thing we get at master doc is additional crafting abilities. There needs to be at least 1 command, if not 2, that are master doc specific.

People have designed their templates on the existing availabilty of certain skills at certain levels. I'm not in favor of changes that totally destroy onecharacter design just to make another character design more valuable, 2 months past retail.


I am all in favor of ADDING abilities to master doctor to make it more valuable. Add experimentation points, the missing +25 to heal injury speed, improve our heal abilities, add a mind enhancement buff, stuff like that.


When the game first went live, I suggested the change you propose. I feel its too late to adopt now, though.

From the perspective of someone that ALMOST has expert wound treatment, I say screw that This is only because I dont want to have to get master doc to do the thing that made me want to level doctor in the first place



The attic was less to us from the cellar the bones like the attic let them have it let them stay in the attic. When they sometimes come down the stairs at night and stand perplexed behind the door and headboard of the bed brushing that chalky skull with chalky fingers with sounds like the dry rattling of a shutter. Thats what I sit up in the dark to say.

I dieagree. Actually, I think this skill belongs in the combat medic tree. Combat medics are out in the field. That is where the need to resucitate occurs, not in the medical center and not in camp.

I think its fine where it is...


but I do think master doc needs more content...


hence i would say give master doctors AOE cure poisons...


give master doctors multi-stat wound packs and/or multi buff heal packs..


revive is a good skill but doc buffs are better if it wasnt for mind damage...doc buffed players would be incredible...


maybe give master docs are full revive as in full HAM heals revives

Niamb, Im a Master Doc, and I am never in camp, or God forbid, in a med center. why would you want to take the main skill that I trained my character for, and move it to the bioligical warfare specilist....ooops, I mean combat medic.

since I am a master doc, I would be lying if I said I didn't want Rez to be master doc specific. so, you can't count my opinion on the subject, I'm to biast.

I think Resuscitation kits should be craftable at Master Doctor's Crafting, though, so if anyone wants to JUST make meds and not use them, they should be able to.

Revive is a very powerfull skill.


I agree it should be moved to Master Doc.


Doc is a pretty popular profession right now, because of buffs and revive, and how easy it is to master. Since buffs are given at the advanced level, Revive needs to be a master level.
