WOOHOO finally a doctor! 
i got through it almost completely using stim/wound a's. the hardest part was getting to first aid 4. but after that it was much easier. not until someone gave me wound pack b's did i learn of just how powerfull they were.
do people pay for buffs? just wounderin because if they do i might just go for that first.

Yes, people do pay (quite well) for buffs, but it requires ALOT of crafting to get to the decent Enchance packs (B+) that people are happy to pay for.
Congratulations! I still remember how great it felt when I made it to doc!
The better med packs and what-not are going to heal a lot more in a lot less time and are really going to maximize your ability to earn more XP (and you'll need a lot to advance).
It takes a long time to climb the crafting chain, but you can always make some good contacts with the doctors in your neighborhood and buy some good stuff from them so you can use it. Just get yourself some med use skills so that you can use it. By the way, if you're on Flurry, contact Bulbados - I can hook you up with some good meds.

And yes buff's can be sold/traded fairly easily. Also if you go out with hunting parties you're much more valuable
