I'm working on Master Doctor, but guns are just not my thing.

But, I'm a Bothan. (Yeah, yeah... worst race for a Doctor.) Would I be effective in Melee? And if so, what's the best choice?

I'm not familiar with Melee skills. The skill with the fastest weapons would be best, correct? To allow me to heal myself/others faster?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Bothans are the second worse race for doctor. Twi'leks are mentioned as being "intelligent" as a race, but they get average mind pool and the WORST focus and willpower in the game. I started a doctor with a Twi'lek then quit him to play a zabrak doctor after 2 months. The zabrak is not even a master doctor yet, but is already a better healer cause of the 900 willpower...

Seriously, bothans have that high quickness/action, so I'd suggest carbineer. If you insist on melee, go Tera Kesai. They are cool, and I have yet to see a bothan TKA...

im going for tka, right now i only have unarmed 2 in brawler tree but i can solo reds (well reds that are to me, like chupa's.) by using my stim b's that i make.

Why's being a Docor so bad for Bothans? I'm a Bothan Doc, and I do great. I don't see what the big deal is. I don't remember the last time I even went below 2/3 my Mind bar even in a huge constantly fighting group.

Plus it works really well when I have to add some fire support with my carbine.

I am a TKa and thinking of becaming a Doctor...there are manyTKA/Doc across the servers and the combo is kick azz. The Mediation tree at master lets you heal ur own wounds, even mind at 100 per sec, so wound are np combine this with the Doc buffs and heals and you have a PvE powerhouse.

At master TKA you will average 6-800 dam every sec (max spd) the heals will keep u alive longer meaning more dam output with little downtime. a TKM/Master Doc friend of mine solos rancers like they were keetle..well ok it take longer but they have no chance.

Bothan TKM/Master Doc would have advantages in PvP, lol dress in noob clothes, grab a rifle and run at the enemy...as they are laughing switch to VKs and hit them all with spining attacks that do 300 dam to each of them and in less than 4 sec they are dead. I have seen this happen and everyone laughs their heads off. but dont expect to be very good in Pvp, melee is at a major disadvantage right how in that areana.

It is a good choice, but as for bothan i cant talk from experience.
