Thread: Crafting XP, need some tips

I had two factories going, and i got not nearly noticbale xp from output. Furthermore, i think i can presonally put out greater number of items per speed then the factory? It seems that the only advantge is saving storage with the crate, really. Some other opinions are welcomed on that. Nonetheless, I am finding myself dumbfounded that individual crafting (mostly experimentation of advance biological effect.,) is simply not getting me there (master doctor crafting). The amount of time and resources needed for this particular skill tree seems oppressed.

Factories are definitely not for climbing the crafting tree.


In my mind, there are three primary benefits to Factories (aside from their required use in advanced medicines):


1) Crates -- 50 pack of 50 charge 900 power stim E's and 2 inventory slots let me heal forever . . .


2) Factories work while I don't . . .


3) Once the schematic made is finalized, the run produces *exactly* the same thing.


As for actually skilling on crafting xp, I made my way by hand crafting Action/Health wound b's for baazar sales. I didn't power craft, but would sit down and grind packs for around an hour of so -- by making all the subs then making all the packs (disgarding the poor results), you make steady progress . . . I'm certain that others have faster ways to do it, but work the way you can and not burn out. And yes, you can outproduce an F/C factory even allowing for discarding mediocre results.


Finally, best to keep in mind that even though med crafting isslow, talk to a pure crafting profession and it's obvious that Doctor crafting, while not even close to fun, is much easier than some other classes have it. And as other postshave discussed here, Doc Crafting is truly "optional" for our class as the 0/4/3/0 build is legetimate (4/4/4/0 for disease/poison).

Buy about 23k of lok wheat and Tat fibreplast. Make 4 chem crafting stations and put them on hot bars. If you do it quick you can get 4 advanced BECsgoing at once, if you use macros you can get 5 going at once. Its expensive but is not very hard.

there is an easier way to do it if you have trouble getting lokian wheat which can also get quiet expensive if you buy it (a friend offered me some for 8 each instead of his regular 10 price). wasting stuff that's hard to get or expensive aint a great idea.



anyways those ways are pure grind with practice mode. the end product is usless unless you are a combat medic.


one way is infection amplifiers 14 reactive gas 14 aluminum and if you want a real top noch advancement you can do advanced infection amplifier but you need specific types of aluminum and reactive gas ( not that rare) that thing uses 28 of each which total 56 resources . the disadvantage is that you are wasting those resources since if you are a doctor you have no use for infection amplifiers.


you can also use alternative combat medic componat like adv resiliance compound which uses 48 resources . the others seem harder to get .


i personally just noticed that advanced amps and may plan to change my harvester strategy acordingly .
