Howdy All,
There's a lot of controversy over what it means to get an amazing success or a great success. I'm making this post to hopefully put a little bit of this at ease.
My test subject was the Adv. BEC. Before I go further, I want to say that different items experiment differently. In example, BEC experimentation is static per great/amazing succeess, in buff packss for instance this changes as you near the end of the bar. So keep in mind, this is for the ABEC.
ABEC's gain points to charges @ 5% intervals. So at say 18% you have 10, then at 20% you get 11, @ 25% you get 12. Power seemed to work differently. I focused on charges for my experiments but it seems you get 1 point power when you reach 5% and another when you surpass it. That will take more experimentation.
I made 20 ABEC's this morning. I did it with a 15 tool, a 45 station in a research center and on +14 Pyollian Cake.
Great Success were 100% of the for 7% increases.
Amazing Success were 100% of the time for 8% increases
When experimenting on more than 1 point at a time, and a great success is incurred, EVERY POINT counts as a great giving you 7x the number of points in %. The same goes for an amazing. With 5 points used in one experiment and an amazing hit, all 5 points count as an amazing giving you a total of +40%.
Here are two pictures to illustrate:

What can we learn from this? Well, for certain putting say 6 points to charges right off the bat and waiting til you hit an amazing is going give you the most bang, though might take numerous experimentations to hit an amazing of 6 points.
Again, this is only the ABEC. Items like buff packs experiment differently.
I hope you all enjoyed today's post :-D

P.S. Can someone tell me how to post links instead of just URL's? Thanks

This is cool info, I knew it was 7% and 8% but I didn't realize it went up based on a 5% increment.
Has anyone done this sort of testing with buff packs? I'm going to make some buff schematics later this week and I'm curious if I should just drink some bespin port while in a research city and go for 8 points on the first shot and hope for amazing and then do 1 or 2 at a time for the rest of the points.

I have don this sort of testing on buff packs but then kicks in the high complexity of the buff packs
It gives a lot of failures and can take hours for a perfect 5 experiment point amasing succes what I tried out.
Take 2 experimet points at the same time I can tell , dont got exact nummbers but I did it after the patch day when we got lesser fails
Im just using 10 in power 1 in meduse and 1 in uses to make my buffs

Yup, I use 10 in power, 1 in med use, and 1 in uses also.
I do my power 2 points at a time.
