Is there a way to ignore barker bots? Some have names but most are multi-word long names like "a protocal droid" Surely the name is not "a".

I don't believe so. Garva commented on them in a thread in Game Guides. He said since they can only bark once a minute and have a character cap on what they can say, that they shouldn't be a problem.

Once a minute is too often, the character cap is too high, it can be all CAPS, so I flamed him for saying it.

All sources (bar one) indicate that they cannot be ignored. The one said to ignore their owner, which I tried, only to find the offending droids owner was already on my ignore list for spamming.

Please don't begin to think that we (DE's) asked for this. It was one of the first things we brought up when Barkers came onto TC, and there was never a real answer. As it stands, there is no way to ignore a droid. I repect people's right to avoid spam, and I wish you could do so.

Most DE's on my server wont make the barker mods. Which probly is a good thing. but i wanted an R3 with one in it to let my merchant friend program it to announce im buffing instead of running my macro, to leave me more free to talk and people not have to read what im saying to them thru my macro every now and then. All and All, on Naritus i have seen about a dozen of these, they dont bother me, since they dont spam often and its a short message. lol, coronet is finally pretty reasnable now that i have /addignored over 300 people for spamming

Maybe we could get the Devs to put in a EMP weapon that will knock all bots in a certain radius out of comission for a few minutes till you can leave town.....alright yeah its a pipe dream but it would be wonderful.

As far as i know ignore the owner and the droid shuts up *shrug* give it a try
