OK this is the first time I have really had this happen in the 6 months that I have been buffing, should give the rest of you doc's a little hope that not all customers are bishes.
I didn't notice it but I buffed someone who hada TEF. Well I was buffing people left and right when all of a sudden like 4-5 Imps just walk up to me and starting threatening to DB me I don't give them free buffs (I could have cared less about being DB'ed because the other Doc who was buffing atm in the Mining Outpost was one of my best friends and he would have res'ed me). So i tell em to just screw off and find a donkey butt to play with (prolly could have phrased it better but it was early and I was pissed). Right about that time the TEF wore off and I was like "MWHAHAHA now you cant kill me posers". Then prolly the UBER coolest thing ever happened in game, all the people in my line (Imps and Rebels, about 20 people) start just bashing these losers and just giving em hell in general. I was so impressed that I refunded everyone creds and buffed em all for free. It is times like this that really show you the character of some people in game.
I realized a few things from this though:
1) TEF's for doc's can be really annoying
2) Some people (Imps or Rebels) think that just cause they could "kill" you, that you should give them services for free
3) Some people in this game really do have general repect for others and they are really good people to be around.
I do not think that Doctor TEF's should be removed from game, and yes it was my own fault for buffing the overt, but all I am bringing out is that harassment is not the way, could have just jokingly messed around wit me because of my TEF, but when you start threatening people it is just very uncool.

Is there a way to tell the difference between someone with a TEF and an Overt Rebel? I feel kinda bad because I wasovert in Coronet todayand suddenly I see a red dot beside me. I press tab to target and click my "all states" macro which just automatically follows the target and throws all states on him and does KD2 at the end. By the time I realized the guy was unarmed AND unbuffed, he was already dead. It's my opinion looking back that he was probably TEF'd since going around overt in Coronet unbuffed and unarmored is just looking to die.
(in interest of story completeness it should be noted that immediately after I thought I'd killed him he popped back up to his feet. I thought he'd used Force of Will before the DB and then I see another red dot behind me. So I kill the first guy and attack the second red dot. Turns out the second red dot was a guy with a TEF for rezzing the first guy, and then the second guy killed me with headshot... doh).

lol that sucks. i am an imp and was buffing in theed when i buffed an overt imp got flaged. this is just around when all the reb jedi started ganking imp overts. at the time no jedi were around but before the tef went away 3 reb jedi show up. but i guess they had some compassion because i was sitting with no armor on and they left me alone. i guess it was my lucky day

Another doc and I were buffing next to each other when I looked over and saw some imps and killed him...not sure if they destroyed his droid or not though (that is messed up)...I try to not buff overt imps but sometimes i forget...needless to say I've been lucky.

I'm a doc too and I have been killed I belive twice from this. I didn't care it was my own choice to buff people that were either overt or TEF. Ya that is childish to ask for free buffs. If you buff people that have a TEF or overt you should be prepared to die. Its a game and made up of a lot of people that are just jerks...I guess that is just the way things have to be.

That is messed up. 
I rarely buff overts, but If i do get a TEF I usually group with peeps on the line just in case. If a fight does break out I tell them I buff them for free for the protection, lol.
