I'm a 1401 Doctor and am having trouble finding an avenue of advancement. I hung around Fort Tusken for awhile, but because of the ridiculously good Composite Armor and defenses, no one takes much damage for me to heal. I then proceeded to Dathomir by word of a fellow Doctor who suggested joining a Rancor hunting group. I found about 20 people total on Dathomir, none doing Rancor missions. I end up flying to Coronet and healing random people's wounds around the city and the medical center and going to the cantina to replenish the Entertainers energy. These don't yield much experience. I must remind you I refuse to resort to healing "Tumblers" or grinding in any way. It's just not my game style. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would appreciate them. Thanks again.

Well, I didn't bother healing tumblers either, well unless you call dancers tumblers
I found good sources of xp were from healing players woundsaround the starport and cloning centers and slapping on A and B level buffs on newbies who are only going out to fight basic mobs.
You could resort to buffing pets and storing them, but tbh that's as lame as healing tumblers for the most part.

I took some lower level players out on a few missions, I followed them around healing 3-4 of them about 5 times per fight. It is truely amazing the amount of xp you can get lol. you can even heal the unarmoured tankers if you find someone willing.

If you want to level by actually playing the game, I would do as the last poster suggested - get a group of fairly new players together at Mos Eisley. Give them small health and action buffs. Hunt big game and heal them during combat. The reason this will work well is that the newbies won't have good armor. Just make sure that you train them not to run when they get low.
Keep a droid out so you can rebuff them if necessary during combat. If all you are doing is healing, rezzing, and buffing, your experience will pile in.

All those are good ways but if you wanna get through it fast
Heal a Tumble Monkey or Buff a Pet
For crafting buy allot of Tat Fiberplast and Lok wheat , get yourself 5 crafting tools, make a crafting macro to hit each tool then grind the hell out of Adavance Bio Effects Controllers. All in all it took me about 3 days (about 7 1/2 game play) to get Master Doctor. I didnt do it for a holo i just wanted to be able to help my guild out sooner.
Of course I had some help from my guild, I could ALWAYS get a tumbler and allot of my stuff (stims/buff packs lower grade of course) were given to me to help throug the grind, so there are allot of factors that went into me being a Master Docotr in 3 days. Only thing I would tell you is that once you hit Master Doctor...DO NOT WEAR YOUR MASTER DOCTOR TAG IN PUBLIC, unless of course you dont mind the overwhelming tells for buffes or heals or res's......I could go on and on about those crazy /tells

Good for you not resorting to tumblers. That should make one less ignorant Doctor in this game. Although no sense in turning this into another one of those posts. And apparently some people posting didn't read the part about you not doing tumbling.... Best betis to go out with a few friends or someone that is hunting something that hurts them alot and bring a ton of stims and some damage packs. Stick with it.

Get a master CH and Commando wit Flame 4 together. Have the commando burniate a pet wit REALLY high HAM (about 10-12k), then just heal the pets wounds. You get ALOT more xp and it is cheaper than healing tumblers.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm probably going to try the missions with some newer players. I like to help out newbs and answer their ridiculously stupid questions.

If you don't want to grind (interpreted to mean healing for xp with no benefit other than xp), hang out at the incoming spawn point for starport passengers in Coronet.
You can often heal the wounds from diseases and fighting that players incur on the adventure planets after they've given up and are headed home. Often you can heal them up before they even load, and they have zero down time, and get a nice full HAM bar when they wake up.

The simple way! Get a BE pet with a ton of health on it, find a commando, burn that **edit** up, heal the wounds. If you get a good BE pet you can easily find one with 4k health thats useable without master ch. Wound healing gives you 2.5 times the exp for each wound. So if you heal 300 health wounds you get 750 exp of healing. With 4000 wounds on a pet thats 10k exp. Then just burn it again and get more exp, the higher you get in doctor the faster and more your gonna heal, meaning you wound heals will be higher, itll be faster, and you'll master doc in no time.

I went to the cornet med center and cross tumbled with a guy, it worked rather well. We both got doc xp at the same time and I didn't have to pay. I finished doc in about 2 days like this.

Hi DaschalCreed,
Dantooine Mining Outpost was medical XP heaven for me. I got most of my Medic just healing wounded people that came into the Tavern and the Entertainers who needed healing on their action pool (even had a "contract" going with some non-AFK dancers and musicians).
Once I made Doctor, I started going on non-solo/hunting missions and concentrated on getting Doctor 0-4-0-0 first. This enabled me to Rez, which along with the /healdamage you have to do afterwards, amounted to some pretty good XP per revival. Half of the teams I've gone out withhad only 2 or 3 people buffed, so I reaped a lot of XP with /healdamage alone.
The Mos Eisley route is also good to take as the other players have suggested. Another benefit to it is the AP you'll gain from the new people (Marksman and Scouting were my primary AP sources). Also, you can make some low level buffs atDoctor 0-0-0-2. By buffing your teammates they can take on more damage AND get more XP healing them. I did this twice and was max-AP by end of the second night.
Good luck,
-D

I also found the Squill Cave on Tatooine to be helpful since there are so many people trying to complete the Hero of Tat quest AND there were tons of jedi in their aggroing the squills for XP. I ran around healing all the Jedi and got thousands of Xp for it since they were all buffed and were taking significant damage.
