I'm about half way through the BH skill tree atm. I picked up Novice Medic last week just to see if it would be useful. For some reason it's been entertaining me way more then being a marksman or a BH ever has. That being said, I was wondering what you guy's think about the Doctor profession. I love being a medic now. It's actually fun to me to sit in the Med Center and heal people's wounds and just socialize with people. It's a lot more entertaining then going to random spot in the wilderness and killing some guy. BH is a fun profession. But being a medic is way funner right now. Seeing as this post is a lot longer then it needed to be I'll end it here. Give me your impressions. Thanks =]

I love being a doc, I've sold back many skills in the last month adn the only one I never considered selling back was Doctor. The social part is awesome, I spend the first 3.5 weeks getting to Master Doc mainly by sitting around in med centers having a blast chatting away with all kinds of people

The doc profession is also very good sublement to a combat class..very good heals, very good enhancers and you can heal your own wounds. Being a Swordsman and Master Doc I can solo VERY well and I tank better than most...in other words I LOVE BEING A DOC !

I'm having fun with this combo so why shouldn't everyone else ?

I did the same thing, well kind of, survival IV was the last skill I needed before becoming a Novice Bounty Hunter. I decided to learn some medic skills to help along the hard path, knowing I could unlearn them...

But something happened, I found a greater satisfaction in healing people and socializing then running around to random spots to attack the same creatures over and over again.

Now my challenge is to heal people the fastest, its more challenging in that its harder to get money, but a lot more satisfying, other then the medical crafting side of it. Which I suggest you grind out of the way as fast as you can.

But I warn you, it is HARD unlearning all those marksman and scouting skills and of course for your situation Bounty Hunter skills... I saw all those long hours slowly disappearing in front of my eyes, but once half of all your trees are unlearned it becomes easier to kill off a skill here and there.

Becoming a doctor is great, and very satisfying. Keep your best weapon and work on focusing on that along with your medic skills along with keeping Exploration skills and some survival skills and you should be all set.

I started out as a smuggler was real excited about the profession, and for some reason got turned off. So I went medic with the idea of going doctor to help my roomie who is a BH, and well one thing led to another and I love it. Its great sitting in the med centers socializing with peeps. I like it when someone comes in and you do a little Roleplaying as a Doc. I get ppl all the time that come in and go doc i got real messed up by some imp, or doc that BizNatch layer was a lot harder than i thought. I've slowly untrained all my smuggler skills, and while it was hard I wasn't sad to see it go. Pistoleer/Doctor is what i've done, and i'm 4 boxes away from Master. Anyways, go for it I don't think you'll regret it. Plus its all about the 1000+ buffs.

I started out as a pistoleer/combat medic.

Turns out the only thing I liked about CM was chucking grenades at mobs, which wasn't exactly the most productive thing in the world. So I dropped it and gave doc a shot instead. Pistol was kinda boring too. Nothing special about it, you just point and shoot.

Then an evilweaponsmith friend of mine made me a 2h curved sword to put on my house's wall, and I swear it kept calling to me! Kae... Kae... Pick me up and use me!...

So I did. Now all my pistol skills are gone and I'm a doc/swordswoman and I'm having the time of my life
