Thread: Interesting yet ambiguous change on TC...

Among a couple of other Medic items that went in on TC, I found this in the General section of the TC patch notes...

- Power update. Potential energy attribute > 500 yields up to two times more power output

Is this a crafting boost for stuff that uses PE (mainly medicines) or are they actually going to take into account the PE rating when powering a Factory/Harvester with energy?

Inquiring minds want to know....

Looks like it can be one of either two things.

1. When using power with a PE > 500, you get a 2:1 ratio in your harvesters. This seems to be the likely course of action.

2. As you said - when using something with a PE > 500 in crafting, you get a 2:1 benefit.

Either one would be cool with me. Curious, can you post a link to this? Was it listed under medical specific or crafting specific? If it was then that would point to number 2.

Thanks, your trolling saves me time!

From what I understand, any fusion power with a PE of 500+ counts as 2 units of power in harvesters and factories.

I can see how the change for Radioactive goes hand in hand with the massive wounds you take while hand sampling Rads now. Not sure how it would tie in to Wind and Solar energy, though.

Perhaps it is a way to balance the fact that Rads are the only energy source that can be hand harvested vs the need for Solar and Wind generators. I am guessing that they are not going to make Solid and Liquid petrol fuels usable as true energy sources any time soon (maybe for vehicles/starships?).

Oh, the change is listed in the General section of the patch notes, Pantath. They should be the first set of changes listed.
