lol healing just became a ton easier....


i think doctors/combat classes are gonna be close to unkillable unless u attack mind...


since one of the only ways to kill a doctor was to spam KD to prevent healing...


with 2500+ H and A and no spamming KD....can anyone stop anyone from healing?!


all i can think of is continually spamming supression fire to keep a guy prone but even thats isnt 100% effective....

- But healing still requires mind. Eventually you will run out of it, and you will get KOed - if it's a long fight and you're getting hit hard. My poor little self couldn't hold out very long when my pet ghosted and the 6 gurrcats I was using it as a tank for suddenly switched to me. Am so lucky I was able to dive into a house and not get DeathBlow'ed.

El,I really hate to say this, but are you just on a Nurf kick or something? You seem to be gettign really bitter lately. (Although I can understand it to some extent considering the attacks you've been gettign on teh CM forum. Some of those guys just can't stick to a topic.)


At any rate, I do agree taht Mind is still a big limiter for Docs. Zabraks and Mon Cal MIGHT be able to hold out longer tean some of the other classes, but even with maxed out mind on any prolonged fight the combination of time between heals and mind costs and poissibility of getting aggroed on when your mind gets low is a real fast killer for a Doc. I really don't think this will be as much of an issue as you think it will be, but i guess we will see.

The timer is for knockdown and position changes. So suppression fire is under the same timer.

This is really bad news for PvE, though. Losing both knockdown and suppression fire at the same time is going to be painful. Last I read, the timer was going to be 30 seconds? That's going to feel like an eternity in PvE.

This change does make us quite difficult to beat for some people, but there are plenty of riflemen and BH's out there who can easily drain our mind pool in three shots or so.

Here's my prediction.

I think we will see some sort of healing nerf, maybe a massive reduction in self-heal effectiveness. People(kids, really) whine whenever they lose a fight to some combination of professions; in this case, it will be anyone with a weapon, novice medic, and good stims.

Pvp types will gravitate towards BH/medic or rifleman/medic, consistently kill non-minddamage people at 3 to 1 odds or better, and generate a couple dozen threads of forum bitching. I think I've seen a thread or two on this already, though the poster was shot down early on. I mean, everyone does have access to novice medic.

Of course, if they do end up nerfing self-healing, then we're pretty much not allowed to solo, which goes against what they've always claimed, if I'm not mistaken. Perhaps the best solution would be to make something like that apply only in pvp, but so far, devs show no sign of being able to differentiate when they change skills around.

Big ears why do you assume when people Bitch and moan they have to be kids? most of the people I see complain about this stuff are 30+ year olds who wanna be uber and get mad when they can't pwn everything in sight..I see doctor getting nerfed soon which is a shame, cause the devs always give intot he whiners...Now that Chs are a joke on wheels you have a ton of fan boys looking for the next uber class...doctor has been able to keep itself a secret for a while as a strong set of support skills..only recently do most people know doctors can super enhance themselves and others. As more people take up doc skills, you'll get more complaints and the complaints always win out...it's terrible..one of the things I hate about mmorpgs...eventually whine enough and you get your way.

Because they are? I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that the vast majority of pvp wannabe-gods are teenagers. Yah, I'm sure all of the 30+'s are bitching and moaning about losing pvp, rofl. I'm not talking about people who advocate true balance, here. I'm talking about the ones who come onto the boards right after they lose a fight and argue for a nerf.

Yes, some adults are like that. In this regard, I don't believe that they outnumber the real kids, though. Regardless of actual age, it's childish behavior. I use the term "kids" in that sense.

I don't pvp much but the KD timer is gonna be a pain in pve for me (and other melee types)..hehe...I can allready see myself chasing that webel tropper all across Tatooine not being able to stop him because of a KD timer..heh


On the Mind issue, well I bet we'll see more and more docs completely addicted to Moun Gold...I know I am

Lol i guess im jsut bitter cuz devs refuse to look at what really is the problem with the game and that is the way mind damge is set up...


seriously...healing right now in PvP is powerful and one of the few counters were to spam KD so u could perma stun and prevent heals...


i just keep seeing these changes and all i think is they make the currently powerful classes even more powerful...

I for one am not even a little bit worried.


If Doctors/Combat Medic can win a fight according to your point, then he/she must have put some point into combat skill. By same token Combat Profession can put points into Medic and do exactly what we do. So no one will single out Medic.


Also I also see on same note that they are changing Chef as well as Entertainer. hopefully there is something for mind in there somewhere.


I think once everyone use Dotor buff/Chef Food, and hopefully they let Entertainer heal mind in fight, then PvP will last a long looooooong time, like you see in movie. THEN I can finally see some interesting massive PvP fight. I guess whichever side that can take out the rezzer, healer and concentrate their fire better will win.


But pure PvPer, the one who like to be lonewolf and gank people solo or in duel will complain for sure.
