Thread: YASBPQ Yet Another Stim B Pricing Question
What would a full crate of 38 charge 308base heal Stim Bs go for? Would you charge exactly half for a crate of 25?
Also someone is asking me to make Stim Cs for him....I've seen very few pricing guides for this. What do you think?
Using my formula found on this thread:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Corbantis&message.id=17160
The "Wylde Value" of your stims would be 887 credits per stim pack
38 * 887 = 33706 credits
25 * 887 = 22175 credits
My formula, linked to above, also covers C and D stims too. I suggest you take look.
The best thing to do is figure out
* how much the factory cost you in maintenance between when you started making the components and finished the final product,
* how much energy you used and what that cost you
*how much the resources cost you including ones wasted during experimentation, and
* add in your time spent making them. I use the rate of 10,000 credits per hour.
* you may also want to amortize in the factory's inital cost. For me it was 50K, so adding an additional 5K or so per crate will eventually pay back that investment.
It's a big formula, but you wont lose money that way. Since everyone has different resource costs, and uses different resources, a raw figurewon't help you much.
Idris, yeah I was considering a method that incorporates those variables, but untilI have those tracked, I needed a quick guide for the couple of crates I have as I need some fast cash. Personally, I feel that tracking your costs is indeed important to ensure you are indeed making money (or more importantly to me, not losing money), I believe market pricing should be based on variables such ascharges and base heal, because in the end that's what matters on a stimpack to the user.
So according to Wyld's formula, each stimpack is 887c so a crate of 50 is 44350plus any markup he would apply.
I haven't seen what stimpacks tend to go for in my server, so there will be a bit of investigation there as well that may affect the final outcome. thanks Wyld. If any of you in Lowca have experiences let me know as well.
I would sell a crate of 50 of those for 36250, or 725 per stim.
Crate of 25 would be 18125.
I drew up my own pricing chart personalized to what I feel confortable selling with, so my pricing may be a bit lower than other peoples systems.
Take a good look at the current market... and then what you have to offer... I make advanced stim B's all advanced parts and only the best ingredients, 36/380 is the final product... I started selling them at 1200 a pop... It got sold out in 5 mins... no joke... I raised it up the next day and then again and again... now I sell them for 2500 and still every day I am sold out... people appreciate good products.. and I get many orders... so that in my opinion is the best method...

I have been thinking perhaps mypricing is bordering on the low end of the spectum.
I tested the market with a price of 750 per Stim B (32C/316H) for a period of week. All 6 sold within 20 minutes. The 750 price seemed to be a fair price, but I have seen others on the public bazaar price higher for less. Actually I got about 6 orders for stims in this fashion, the extra income was nice.
Stimpack-B 351x39 1000 each (5 med use)
Stimpack-C 546x45 1200 each (30 med use)
Stimpack-D 838x52 1500 each (40 med use)
Stimpack-E 1059x59 2000 each (46 med use)
Woundpack-B 171x39 1500 each (5 med use) (all 6 types)
Those are with advanced BEC and LS (regular CRDM).
I have generally no problems selling in volume at
those prices.

First I'd tell yo to charge what you want.
For me I go for a 100% profit margin. It costs me, since I gather all my own resources about 1.5 credits per unit to get my resources, pay for maintenance on my house, factory and extractors. So the cost to break even on a Stim B is 96 credits. Since I want a 100% profit margin, multiple by 2 so 192. I've rounded up to 200. Now this are 22 or 23 use stims with a240 - 250heal rating. These are not using any advanced components.
This is lower then most people charge. I just figure if I'm making a 100% profit margin (that's bigger then most business in the real world) then I'm doing pretty good. I'm making about 60k to 100k a week in profit. I'm selling about 100 stims a day, and I also make money selling resources to other doctors as well. Since I've got about 400k units ofhigh quality (OQ+PE > 1600) Flora,Water, and Fiber in storage I sell a bit of the resources and not effect production. I sell my resources for 3 credits a unit again I'm looking for a 100% profit margin.
That said remember it's your product, charge what you want to charge.

hmmm, perhaps I should rethink my current pricing scheme.
I am currently pricing my Stims at
- 750 per Stim B for 38 charges 340 plus heal - 35k for crate of 50
- 900 per Stim C for 44 charges 530 plus heal - 42.5k for crate of 50
- 1200 per Stim D for 50 charges 800 plus heal - 55k for crate of 50
- 1500 per Stim E for 55 charges 1000 plus heal - 70k for crate of 50

Thank you Menoetius for bringing a Lowcan perspective to the question as well. I'll toy with my numbers and costs and see where I think I should be selling and such. If my personal costs are too high, I'll scale back harvestors and make only enough stims for my buddies and then do missions.
In an odd way, I'm having fun crafting ATM. What made it hit home was when I received an email from someone I gave a crate of stimpacks in-game email me and say "Your stim Bs are as good as the Stim Cs I was buying." Keeping my teammates alive even when I am not around is a good feeling.
