I'm not sure. What kind of bug are you referring to?

Has anyone noticed that Medpaks are a LOT less effective if the medic/doctor has called a medical droid? I can do between 100 and 250 pts of healing with a Medpack B in a hospital, but only about 35 to 50 in town with a droid called out. This occurs with both a mouse droid and a probot droid I have. It appears that when a droid has been called out, the 'skill' factor of the heal is that of the droid, not the doctor. I think that the skill factor should be the higher of the two. Any comments? I have bugged this, but it probably just got wiped, as I've seen nothing in the patch notes since I submitted it. If the consensus is that this is a problem I will resubmit the bug.

Oops, sorry, folks. I hit enter at the Subject line. See the other thread with the same subject. I apologize, but I can't figure out how to delete this one.

"It appears that when a droid has been called out, the 'skill' factor of the heal is that of the droid, not the doctor."

- Medical droids don't have "skill" factors.

- The Medical Capability is a number that influences your skill. 100 is the same as if you were to heal in a Med Center. Anything lower and you should put the droid away while in the med center.

- Medical Droids give you the ability to heal in places other than a Med Center/Camp/Home.

- You should check the "Heal Modifier" of any camps you are in as well. If that number is greater than your droid, put the droid away and use the Modifier of the camp instead.

- Level 6 Medical modules will actually provide 110, and are actually better than the Med Center natural rate. Only these types of droids should be used in conjunction with healing in a med center.

In more cases than not, your med capability of your droid, no matter what chassis it is in, will be less than a medical center.

Say your woundpack heals 50 pts, for example. The medical capability of a medical center is 100. Your wound pack would heal for 50. If you are out in the street, the medical capability of your droid takes effect. Say your medical droid has a module (I'm not that familiar with which level does what) with a 65 medical capability. Then you wound pack would only heal for 65% of the norm or 32.5 heal.

Now, I said in most cases, because if you get a DE to stack the med modules correctly, it can go higher. For example, I have an R2 unit (although again chassis unimportant) with food/chem and a 110 medical capability. In my case, hanging around outside with my droid would actually improve my heals/buffs. In the previous example with the 50 pt heal, it would do 110% of that, or 55 points.

Go to your datapad, click on your medical droid and see what the medical capability is.

I would actually aknowldegdge this as a bug in that no matter where you are healing the HIGHEST heal rate shoulda lways be used. So if you ahve a .35 droid in the Med Center you SHOULD be healing for 100% anyway. If you have a 110% droid out in the Med Center, in that case since the droid is actually better than the Med Center's heal rate, it should use the droid. Right now it is using the droid to the exclusion of any other heal rates.

It's listed as Issue #42 on the Big List for folks to vote on as one of the top 10 issues, if they wish.

There is currently a bug where medical droids affect your heal injury ability, as well as your heal wound ability. Normally, you CANNOT heal wounds without some form of advanced medical assistance, be it a medical center or a medical module equipped droid. But you can heal anywhere, so these advance devices are not required. With the bug, your injury healing abilities will be lower with a medical droid than without it, unless the droid is equpped with a Level 6 med module, or stacked lower level modules. This acts as a penalty box to both aspiring doctors who can't afford a topline medical bot (typically 17k) and to aspiring droid engineers, who watched one of their few remaining markets go poof with this bug.
