Thread: How long does a factor take to make 100 anything?
Yup. It is already included in the issue.
#2 as matter of fact, so it is pretty high up there.

Not to mention the exceptionally slow rate of production in a factory. This is especially true for medicines where the absolutely lowest complexity on an item is 10, meaning it would take 80 seconds (not quite a minute and a half) to produce 1 item in a factory, whereas by hand crafting the same items they can often be produced faster. If it weren’t for the dangers of carpal tunnel syndrome and the requirements of factory components I think most Doctors would simply hand-craft everything, at least you get some XP for it that way. After all 3XP every 80 seconds has absolutely no comparison to 33XP every 60 seconds even using just 1 crafting tool. So to heck with the XP, it’s irrelevant for factories, but speed of the factories is definitely an issue. They are simply too slow.

wouldn't be so bad if factories actually pulled items from crates, becuase I would set up a large run and go leave and have fun for awhile...even if the factory was slow
It does pull from crates without baby sitting (or has for me) when more than 1 crate of each type is in the hopper. I've had runs of 100,200,300,600 a pop of components that I'll keep til I finish close to 1000 of each. I then load up all 20 crates of each component and do final assemblies of stim Cs,Bs,wound packs, etc. It tends to allow for at least a 100 run if not more. The time doesn't bother me as much as it stopping after 100 sometimes and requiring a half hour to hour wait before restart.
