Thread: To Zarlor
Thanks for all your work.
Big DITTO on this side.
Just remember your Hippocratic oath!
"You will cause no harm and heal all injury"
"as long as they have valid medical insurance and you can cause harm if what they want is expensiveplastic surgery involving face, enlarging chest andflattening stomach."
Thanks, guys. I do appreciate it. As I've mentioned here before, though, I kno there were certainly more applications for the job than just mine and I'm quite certain i can think of may other here on these forums who could do the job as well, or even better, than I.
Beleive me, I'm actually having fun with the game and I even enjoy putting in the work to compile the issues and garner the votes.
My frustration strictly stems from Dev communication, or relative lack thereof, at this point. So if there are worries that this is getting me too down in the dumps or anthing, fear not. It only strengthens my resolve to push forward and keep sending those issues and doing whatever I can to ensure that we get heard. And that we continue to try and send our considerations in a logical and straightforward manner. I think we can do that, and sometimes we must use stronger wording to get the message heard, but the message itself must be heard. That is what I think is most important. For without that message, without the communication between us and the Developers, this game will falter andstagnate and we will never see respectable improvements that continue to keep the game fresh and enjoyable for all of us.
And that's really what it's all about, right? Doing what we can to keep the game fun. By expressing what is NOT fun abou the profession, hopefully we can do something to make it more fun and keep it exciting.

I sent you a PM about this subject
I agree completely. I've been following the "holo's stepchildren" thread and you are handling yourself well and doing a great job of representing the medical community.
BTW if it comes to a strike I'd like to see you call for it. I kinda see you as our union leader. 8)I suggest we all sit outside the medical center in the capital cities of whatever planet we are on during prime time and refuse to heal any damage or wounds, and if people ask why, tell them "we are protesting the lack of a response to our Top 5 issues".
Please. I'm not a leader of anything. And i would be a very poor person to lead any kind of strike, I'm too much of a "Live and Let Live" kinda guy.
Let's face it, I'm not into the idea of unionizing medics, organizing strikes or any of that stuff. Just not my style. If someobody else wants to do those things, feel free to go ahead and do it. Just don't expect me to join in, because it's not really something I enjoy or that I'm convinced would do more good than it does harm.
I'm also one of those guys that brings down the profession by not charging for heals and not expecting tips. That does not prevent me from recognizing the problems other Doctors are having in these areas, tough, nor does it prevent me from seeing how my own methods could be construed as harmful to those who would prefer to charge for healing.
So you see, I'm really not the best person for doing stuff like that.
I don't mind gathering issues, presenting them in as unbiased a manner as I can (and I don't mind being taken to the table if someone cares to point out where I let my biases show, insted of truly being unbiased) and stating my opinion in as objective a manner as I possibly can. Doesn't stop me from ranting every now and then, mind you, but we all need to let off a little steam sometimes. ![]()
So if you andenough others are convinced a strike would be a good idea, be my guest, don't let me stand in the way at all. I'm just sorry to say I won't be much use as a direct rallying point for such a thing. Sorry.
Zarlor,
Not a leader? Heh, bud. You stepped forward when the call came. You did a thankless job well, and folks recognize that and have followed you.Leadership is funny that way. The very best leaders just seem to happen.
I regard you as a fair and focused spokesman. If the SONY board lurkers do not see this as well, there is nothing we can do but continue to be true to ourselves.
Well done sir.
Johaan
Well, Trewe, it looks like you might get something after all. Not a strike, but a gathering of medics just to meet up, show support for each other and a showing of solidarity, if you will, to the Devs that we want to be heard. It looks like folks are considering getting together maybe Friday afternoon/evening to meet with brand newmedic characters on TC at the memorial near Bestine, Tatooine.
The ide won't be to NOT heal people, but just to show that we all care about these issues, that we want to see a better game evolve with out help where we can, and to just say tot he Devs "Hey! We are here, too, you know! Don't forget about us and remember to communicate!"
Yeah, let's hope it gets some atention, although we will be looking at TC and I don't think any CSRs will be there.
This will also be a lot more informal. I'll start a thread for the "Massing of the Medics" as soon as I get the last few details. Like does anyone have the Coords for Moraj Memorial area near Bestine on Tatooine?
