Thread: Best Droid for Newbie Medic Aspiring Doc??
Heya, do storage modules work? I would store my meds in one maybe.. I think I would need a Chem Craft Module and a medical module (what does that do?).
What should I get? What kind of droid?
-sweet looking R3 (transparent head)
-item storage
-data storage
-food/chem craft
-110 med use (meaning 110% of hospital rates! i heal OUTSIDE the med center now, and ask people to walk w/me)
-repair (so i can heal other droids as well)
my first droid was only 15k and had:
-r2 chassis
-food/chem craft
-~65 med use (65% didn't really matter, because med use on droids was bugged so it was 100% really)
Make sure you have enough to pay for batteries, these things eat through them quickly. You can find a crate of 25-50 (3-4 charges each) for about 5k-10k. GREAT investment.
Get whatever one you like and all your stuff fits on. There really isn't much difference besides what they look like on the outside at the moment.
A medical module allows you to heal outside camps and the med center. For example if you have a med module in a droid you can heal wounds in the middle of the street if you feel like it.
Do get the level 6 (I think) module though. That is 100-110% of a med center healing, meaning it replicates the med center environment.
I forget what the lesser module percentages are, but a level one med mod might be 20%, meaning all your medicines are 80% less effective. Which makes you use more, and it ends up costing you.
Just find a nice Master DE, they'll be able to make a nice one for you.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask me while I'm playing, on the occassions that actually happens.
I really don't have any idea on how much a droid can store though, someone else might want to field that one.

yeah my other char has an R2 that has a chem craft and lvl 5 i think med thingy.
All that stuff listed above sounds good. I want the R2 that LOOKs like R2 then, which one is that? I have a DE in game.. I am just at work right now daydreaming about starwars and planning out what I need to ask for tonight when i log ![]()
Dude I had no idea a newbie medic could use stim b's. Which i woulda known that the first time around! haha!
Its just a R2 that's blue, as far as I know.
If you're getting all that stuff on it, you might need an advanced R2, but my droid memory is fuzzy.
As for newbie medics using B level stims, yeah, its a blessed and a curse in my opinion. It creates a market for meds on the bazaar, but at the same time decreases the need for medics in a group. Master Medics and above are still in demand, but if a pure medic can use a stim-B and the player can use a stim-B they tend to not bother bringing a medic, in my experience anyway.
When everyone is a medic there is less demand for services, but I digress. Good luck with the droid.

I got R5 it cost me 12.5 K - it took me a while finding a DE on Tempest
stats are
-110 med chip
-food/chem craft station
- 15% med armor
forgot the ham on those things .
this is enough for now . i also saw some MSEs with single module like crafting station/high med chip for 3k in that shop.
I have an advanced protocal droid.
They look really cool andhe has a "worshipful" personalitychip which is funny when you bring him out in front of people cause, well, he brags about his master (which is me).
He works as a crafting station/ level 6 medical chip which from what i understand is the highest level medical chip a droid can have.
I paid 35k for this droid and I am happy with him. He is gold and looks identical to C-3PO
Gorrbacca
Heh.. I got a advanced mouse.. lvl 6 med module + food and craft..
8k
The o

Heh, tell me about it... that's no chump change. But I wanted the uber bling-bling-tricked-out edition with the lowered chassis and 18-inch rims. I use it 100% of the time I'm out and that doesn't seem to be a problem, because this droid hauls ass, and keeps up well on open terrain. Also, I'm a TKA so I'm taunting anything which comes near the group anyways.
